Yeah the carving of his face isn't the highest quality unfortunately, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

Honestly if they didn't have a writing underneath and just showed the head and asked me which cricketer it was, Hughes would have been my last guess.

I'm still staring at it trying to see a slight hint of Hughesy in it, and I still can't see any.

Good gesture, but I think they should have either done the face properly, or not done the face at all.

While it's fairly standard for Sydneysiders to think the world revolves around them, considering the plaque is at the SCG, I think that's fair enough to only mention their ground.

Looks like they got the guy that did the Lockett statue to do the Hughes plaque, that was a woeful likeness as well and the SCG ended up scrapping it.
