For those outside NSW can you explain what the story behind this is?

He has been booted by a number of grade clubs. Apparently he's okay most of the time, but when things don't go right he loses it and starts abusing his team mates.

Craig Mclaughlan then Stuart MacGill? That Rachael Friend sure does have some faulty tastebuds.

Wish we would stop poaching and concentrate on developing our own young players.Something goes wrong between under 19s and state cricket for our young guys.

I played hockey with Stuart MacGill in juniors. He was the same then - talented, but inclined to fly off the handle if things weren't going well.

I later played senior hockey with the guy he got banned from England County Cricket with!

Its called AFL football. State teams have squads of 20-25 players depending on the number of players on ACB contracts. AFL clubs have squads up to 38 and there are 10 AFL clubs in Victoria.

An 18 year old has the choice of entering the AFL draft at 18-19 or play premier cricket (for nothing) and hope they get a state contract by 23 or 24. There are exceptions to the rule like White and Crosthwaite.

Luke Ball, Luke Hodge, Brendan Goddard, Clint Bizell and Damien Cupido were all Under Age state players in cricket. Ball was supposed to be the best under age batter in years.

Maybe young cricketers need to get financial rewards at a younger age.
