So is he an inside mid or outside runner

Has played both before, but is more of a creative midfielder than an inside midfielder.

He is still a very courageous player though, Consistant, good disposal and nice movement.

Won't be a star but should be a very solid player.

Thanks , hopefully the swans can work some of their magic with these rookie lost boys

Wouldn't exactly call his debut impressive by any standard..
Wasn't setting the world on fire, but it was in a high-profile game in front of a massive crowd

Kinnear Beatson:

Pick 16: Jake Lloyd
Beatson says: "Jake Lloyd was identified as the midfielder. He's got a 15-beep (test score) and is an extraordinarily hard runner, so we're excited that we were able to get Jake with our first selection in the rookie draft."

Yippee!*

*Hopefully it's the force that is strong in this one...and not so much the incessant whingeing. ;)

Watched all of his games at the Rebels this year. Really stood up this season and became a leader on the field. Runs all day but he also knows where the goals are, he is pretty classy by foot.

That sounds promising. If kids start with foot skills mostly everything else can be fixed - endurance, tackling pressure, application etc.

Always nice to have them come through able to hit a target first up tho. :thumbsu:

Not a big ball winner, and hasnt got the frame for AFL footy at this stage IMO.

I should have said his skills are more neat rather than classy, sorry about that.
