Big lumbering ruckman of the late '60s. He was a schoolboy player from the country and went to Melbourne High School in his first year at the club. Nickname "Chook" and he came with a big reputation but didn't set the world on fire.

Chris Fowler came from Red Cliffs (near Mildura) and played 23 games for 3 goals from 1967-69. Ruckman born 22 August 1948; he played at 193cm & 92kg.

It would be a pretty fair bet that the nickname "Chook" was a play on words with his surname - FOWL er.
