As I explained to a hawks supporter in the actual thread dedicated to this incident. The neck and head equates to 2 points and intentional conduct 3 points, both of which are in no dispute, correct?

What has saved Selwood is the negligible impact (insufficient force), had he even got low impact (1 point) he would have accrued 6pts and a 3 match sanction. I think it's fair to say that was insufficient force, correct?

As for Harvey and Lake, both of which would have, like Selwood, received head contact and intentional conduct, but it was assessed as being above insufficient force, which I would agree with, so they end up with a sanction.

What has killed Harvey and Lake is that these types of incidents are almost always going to be assessed as intentional, which is penalised much heavier.
