The offence happened on B&F night.
Gold Coast, too, was entirely transparent about Hollands’ legal situation, agreeing to pay a small share of Hollands’ contract as part of the deal that sent him, pick 28 and a future fourth-round selection to the Blues for pick 26 and a future third-round pick.

I heard a report on the news he left his wallet in the toilet and it was handed to casino staff. When they opened it and found the drugs they passed it onto the police

Rookie mistake. Leaving your wallet, containing your ID and the drugs lying around.

I'd be asking questions of the Casino staff.

I do a vaguely similar role and whenever I get a wallet handed in to me I so straight for the ID and that's the end of it, Unless he had it just sitting in the fold in the open it shouldn't have been found.

Whether or not it was a good thing for it to be found on him for his own personal well-being is neither here nor there.

[EDIT] But also to add to Jen's point - What kind of idiot loses their wallet? When I'm out I'm consistently doing the three pat to make sure I've got my stuff on me. Even when I've had a bit too much. It's like one of my top fears.

Could it had fallen out of his pocket and he didn’t realise?
Possibly, but geez, knowing you're in a public place and what you have in there, you'd want to be making sure you have it. Losing your wallet would be like losing your phone -- how do you not know you dont have it?

phone, wallet, keys. every time!

Another VFL premiership player bites the dust!
Probably better off with a standalone club opportunities wise to enhance their development, given afl affiliated clubs will always priortise their own players first. Southport the next best thing up there.
