Cant believe Freo Fans haven't mentioned the Wiz.
The Purple Jesus assumed some kind of mythical god like aura with Freo fans in the mid 2000's.
Wasn't popular with other teams but I think that was part of his appeal, quite like a current small forward.

Cult heroes are usually players who are loved by the fans despite (or because of) being quite ordinary, the Wiz was an exceptional player.
