Watch it again. Tarrant wasn't beaten. Had 2 opponents inside the 50.
Took at least a dozen marks. Had 4 shots on goal. Kicked 1 goal 2 behinds and 1 fell short (marked by Hampson on the line). 2 goal assists.
If he had of kicked straighter he would of been BOG. Nothing to do with the defender 'holding' him.
1st game player Chris Mayne was great also. Kicked a couple, chased and tackled well.
I guess the best thing is just agree to disagree. We are both completely biased and are not going to change our minds.
That is a typical Tarrant performance. That is why he is a good forward & not a great one. FWIW, Adam Hartlett had 3 shots on goal & nailed them all, including one from about 55 metres. That is the return you want from your forwards.
