Was a big crowd there today. Was hard for me and my mates to find a good patch of grass to have a clear kick. But thats what its like, you get the fans kicking on the ground in the VFL. The players learn to deal with it.

Seriously tho, Pettifer can't expect people to move out of his way so he can do his individual warm up if he speaks to them like that. If he said that to me i would have told him to jam it.

Has nothing to do with club bias, if you're at a ground where professional footballers are playing regardless of the level, when they come out to warm up it is polite to get out of the way without having to be asked. As for Kayne himself, if he did fire up at you then that is poor form and I don't condone it one bit.

Let me ask would you have posted the same thing if it was a Box Hill player who told you and the kids to piss off? Doubt it very much.


So what if you were there first, you're not a professional footballer warming up for a game that might just decide whether your career continues on or not.

i will make a guess he may not have posted though i would have by saying how rude he was if it was one of our guys plus i would have said something to his face ! anyway heaps of people were on the ground not just BR and kids so best if had have asked nicely BR may not have seen him come up so how can you move if you do not know they are there and anyway BR had every right to be where he was till the announcement to clear the area and still politeness would be a better option for the tosser

I was kicking the ball around the goals aswell. Before the players got down there the trainer asked EVERYONE TO GET OFF THE GROUND, these blokes have to do their warm up and don't want to have to worry about booting it into some little kid's head. Or some little kid running around and Angus Graham collects them while on a lead.

Pretty obvious anyway, when the players come out, u piss off. It is a football game afterall

Before the start of the Box Hill v Coburg game today, whilst kicking the ball with my two young daughters and whilst there are lots of others on the ground having a kick, he decides to ark up and tell us to get off the ground because he wants to warm up kicking goals from 50 metres in the pocket.

Sorry loser, in the VFL it is spirited for everyone to have a kick before and after each quater, in droves. I know that you can't do this in the AFL, but from what a couple of Richmond mates have told me, you'd better get used to it you loser!

it would have been better if pet's just did his warm up anyways without thinking about the wellbeing of your little girls ... that would make more sense .. if he just kicked the ball in area of which your girls are playing (which by the way he is entitled to do)

true but there may be a chance that BR may not have heard the trainer depending on where he was and the noise around him [ i am only guessing] plus people do move slowly when you want them to move fast don't they they need a megaphone to call that out if you ask me

Maybe it's just me, but if I had two little girls on the ground & saw the players coming on to the ground to warm up, I would immediately leave the ground, so that they didn't get hurt by a wayward ball.

I agree, the players came out as soon as the ressies finished. they did there warm up and then went back inside.

There was about 15 mins before they came out again for the start of the game. 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 time gives people the chance for a kick with no players around.

Show some responsability and get your kids away from the players.

Or are you the sort of dad that takes your kids to political rallies?
