It's rather common these days, Jankovic is notorious for it, hate that snapper looking bitch.

Not sure about you Macca but I don't care who it is or where they are from, this whole Injury time out shit is getting a bit out of hand. Anyway not like Hewitt would of won anyway, he played shit, had his chances, no excuses.

Poor Lleyton:( i can just see the headlines now....

Star to Sub-Par

Former world number 1 and Australias biggest hope for Australian open glory has been knocked out of the Australian open in the first round by the "raging bull" Chilean, Gonzalez.

He lost in 5 sets, being blown off the court :)rolleyes:) 5-7 6-2 6-2 3-6 6-3.

His loss has sparked speculation that the face of Australian tennis, for nearly a decade, may retire before the 2010 Australian open.

He's going to have to weather a storm:mad:

well, well - a few sour grapes eh?

if hewitt was any good he still would have carried on, and continued dominating his opponent

forget momentum!

its like people saying dave warner was on his way to a century on debut against south africa, it needed an incompetent blind umpire to give him not out so we can have our fun

First went about five times to put saw dust on his hands then faked an injury because he couldn't keep up with Hewitt, lol..

But the bloke was still world #1 for a period of time and won 2 Grand Slam titles. No matter how much you try and rationalise it, based on these facts, a shit player would have never reached that high to begin with.

It's like saying West Coast are a good football side because a few years ago they won a flag. Doesn't mean they aren't shit now.
