Very good early ins and outs!

Neagle may also be in contention. I think he had about 6 shots on goal (2.4) and it sounded like he was out-numbered on many occasions. Hopefully there were a few posters who attended the Bendigo game and they would be able to give us a better understanding on who played well etc.

In: Bell, Monfries, Neagle/Daniher
Out: Hooker, Reimers, Lucas

terrible call he had kicked like 13 goals in 4 games prior never actually kicking less then 3. one bad game and your calling for his head?

Ins: Monfries
Out: Reimers (inj)

i would be considering bellchambers however richmond dont have the best ruck division going around and seeings bellchambers didnt do that great today from what i have heard there is no need to bring him in

Out- Hooker, Reimers (if inj), Watson(if inj)
Give scotty one more go Richmond dont have enough talls
In- Bellchambers, Atkinson, Skipworth

In: Bell, Monfries, Neagle/Daniher
Out: Hooker, Reimers, Lucas
Surely it is about time Davey got dropped. Lets face it he has only played one good game(2nd game against carlton). And i know you will all say his pressure/chasing is great. It is, but i have a jack russell who could do the same thing. He doesn't get the footy, can't mark it and fumbles too much. Time to go

I don't think we can afford to have Lloyd and Lucas playing in the same team. It looks ok when we are not playing the top 5 teams, but when we play the genuine good teams, they both look a bit slow - particularly Lucas. I'd rather a more mobile and roaming half forward line/forward pockets and play Lloyd out of the square, where he has still shown that he has great timing with his leads.

I also think we have one too many slow paced midfielders when we have Prismall, Welsh, Watson and Hocking playing in the midfield. I would like one of these to come out and make way for Zaharakis. I love the way Hocking plays, but for team balance, I think he should come out.

With that being said, my changes would be:

In: Houli, NLM, Bellchambers, Monfries, Zaharakis
Out: Hooker, Reimers (if inj. otherwise get him up the ground and use his pace), Lucas, Hocking, Watson (if inj.)

We should learn from playing the best and make the right changes to improve. We looked a tad slow last night, which is not good enough given our game plan.

"Skipworth was massive for us today, he had 35-plus touches and his leadership and ball use was superb. He was very unselfish," Thompson said.

"Lovett-Murray was fantastic and used his power and speed all day. His workrate was enormous and we were very happy with him.

"Bellchambers was also very good and rucked all day despite carrying a small injury. He was tireless against some good, big opponents. He marked well and was good in the ruck.

"Atkinson was surperb again all day off half-back and it was possbily his best game of the year. His dash, carry, spoiling and defensive work was great. It was a complete game.

"Another positive was Zaharakis who was back to his old zip. He showed the class and poise he is known for and is a quality young player.

I cannot believe Bendigo got within 13 points of Port Melbourne - LMFAO.

Hooker and Lucas would be on thin ice.

Monfries and Skipworth will be included for the Richmond game - mark my words.

When did we look slow ?? Yes a few players got run down but that was a talk issue more than anything.
We lost becasue we had the most disfunctional forward set up of the year.
We where able to move th ball through the middle quickly enough. It just broke down at half forward.

As good a carreer as Scott Lucas has had I don't believe we can have both Lloyd and Lucas on the forward line. Both are slow and Lucas missed opportunities on Friday night to get a quick kick away because he has no right foot and needs to turn to get on to his left. This takes time and = missed opportunity. Hurley was better value than Lucas on the forward and plays equally well at both ends of the ground. Monfries would be a good inclusion we missed his crumbing work around the goals.

agree, lucas was terrible friday night

barely got the ball, didnt look dangerous and his disposal was poor.

hurley continued to show good signs, despite a few mistakes in the last half, and i'd much prefer seeing him up forward than scotty.

i didnt go to the 3 previous games here Scotty went alright but after friday i got the impression it might be time for scotty to retire at end of 2009, lloydy at end of 2010, fletch 2020 =)

OUT - Lucas
IN - One of Skipworth, Monfries or NLM

Gees, he can put in 3 or so excellent games but with one off game it's curtains for Scotty's career.

This is bigfooty. Once you are over 28 - one bad game and it's curtains.

I always love how much crap Scotty gets yet he always seems to contribute. He does look slow and probably needs to be used more as a n impact player - but he still always looks our most potent forward.

Possible Outs: Hooker - Reimers - Watson - Lucas

Possible Ins: Neagle - Houli - Skipworth - Monfries - NLM - Bellchambers

I am listed the players who may be considered as outs and ins. I am not saying that the should be the ins and outs.

Possible Outs:

Hooker is being played at of position. If we keep him in the tem, play him on Riewoldt?

Reimers and Watson might be in doubt.

Lucas is a tough one. He has played very well since coming back but had a bad game against the dogs.

Possible Ins:

Neagle played a very good game for Bendigo because this time he actually got some chances to do so. He was inaccurate, but as long as he gets the ball in his hands, I am happy. Hurley showed signs that he can play up forward, so Neagle may not be brought in.

Houli has been dominating in the VFL for the last couple of weeks. Might be brought in to destroy his fellow Lebo, Nahas again. I prefer him in the midfield, but he is a perfect match up for Robin.

Skipworth is a consistant performer and we know he will rack up another 20 touches and kick 1 or 2 goals. But is there room in the team for him?

Monfries is an automatic inclusion if fit.

NLM kicked three goals in the VFL. Adds flexibility to the side. Might play in defence to help free up Hurley considering that Richmond don't have the tallest forward line.

Bellchambers is another that we will strongly consider. We have been struggling with our second ruck option. Hooker is just not tall and strong enough. If we can get two ruckman in the side, then we should do so. The question is, who do we drop for him?

Good summary.

I'd be leaning towards:

In: Monfries, Houli, Bellchambers
Out: Watson, Reimers, Hooker

You are missing the point of the argument.

Several posters have argued that EFC can only go so far with the 2L's in the team - They no longer have the ability to carve up elite defenders.

You think Neagle can do better?

We have hit the problem with Lucas in good form and Neagle having a decent game in the VFL.

As much as I want to, I can't take you seriously after you saying that they should both retire at years end.

Richmond were 7 goals in front today and still could not manage to hang on for a win.

What a massive psychological advantage we'll have over them next week, especially considering we won by 7 goals last year after they led by 3 goals at Half Time.

I'd be very disappointed if we dropped a home game to the likes of the Tigers.
