Since beating Adelaide in the 2002 prelim final. Collingwood have lost 6 of their last 9 finals at the MCG starting from the 2002GF. I'm more confident we're playing them at the MCG, not at home but it still won't be easy. All their MCG finals wins have been against non victorian teams. This is Neil Craig's long overdue final at the MCG and we'll be a good chance because we like playing in the big games at the MCG.

Their forward line is very good, our backline is nowhere near St Kildas. Our forward line may be a bit under strength against their backline so the game is likely to be won or lost in the midfield. We have a good attacking midfield.

Crows are a chance for sure, and we need to get past our nemesis to progress further.

stats show that our defence is still 3rd or 4th best in the league so this can be considered a strength of ours

I would back our forward structure in against their back line, Presti has had a good year however struggled today and I would be attempting to isolate L Brown in a contest

but I agree it will be one in the misdfield and this is where I believe we hold an edge, I like our depth and the fact players like vince, thompson and macca are in pretty good form against the likes of O'Bree and Johnson who really struggled today

Adelaide has never won a final against Collingwood.

Since 1991 in finals... Collingwood vs Victorian teams 0 wins 4 losses, vs Interstate teams 7 wins 3 losses.

Adelaide will have total consciousness.
We'll have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

Adelaide hasn't won 2 games in a Finals series since 1998. Adelaide has never lost consecutive finals at the MCG. Adelaide are 6-4 in Finals at the MCG, and 7-7 at all other grounds.

But this dosen't mean a thing this weekend.

I'm growing increasingly tired of these stats. Sure they may indicate something but when it comes down to the bounce all is forgotten.

forget the stats, here's the facts.
collingwood have selection dilemmas coz they have injuries.
crows have selection dilemmas coz every player deserves to play. :)

ps. just ducked over to carltanks page, man are they sensitive about juddy!

It`s going to be a tough week for Collingwood.
They are in the same boat as us now, facing elimination, except that we have already faced this once.
They are coming up against a very good team.
Ok we beat Essendon at home, big deal! but its the way we did it.

If we want it this game is there for the taking.Collingwood will come out firing but this has not deterred us in the past 2 games.

Keep playing attacking football into our forward line and no team has the defence to stop all of our forwards, but it depends on the Crows and if they can keep the game plan going.

We like the MCG and I think Craigy will like the opportunity to coach his first finals match there.

Pendelbury will definetely be out. Thats massive for us.

Havent heard anything about Lockyer or Fraser. Rocca won't be too much of a loss but it is another big finals experienced bloke we wont need to worry about.

Hopefully they bring in Ben Reid or something for him, will crap himself under the pressure.
