He's not as well built as that photo makes him out to be, but I hope we rookie him too. Seen him a couple of times and although he's raw, he's got a huge scope for improvement with some already good traits. At 193cms he could be groomed as a third KP tall or perhaps a running CHB with his attributes.

On the money for mine. Footscray is now the home for the vast majority of most African immigrants in Melbourne and to have an African born player on our team, may help to connect with demographic and hopefully in turn equate to new members in the future.
There are more Sudanese in the North Melbourne area(Flemington and North Melbourne). We are the home of Ethiopian immigrants. It is probably more of a marketing plus for North Melbourne, but we are the next on that list to be sure.

2cm taller then Skipper and by the looks of it has longer arms and a bigger leap. Pretty handy back up.
Still young as well, might grow another cm or 2 like a few of the recruits do.

Given that the Kangaroos have only 2 picks my guess is that they will target a less risky pick with their first. This may let him slip to us. I believe the consensus is that Daw is very much a project player, but having said that we obviously are entertaing adding at least one project player to our list as otherwise we would not have had that 6' 9'' basketballer from Maryborough training with us (sorry forgotten his name). Daw obviously has a long way to go but his vertical leap, amazing speed and agility are an upside and I also think that the potential marketing impact should not be underrated.

Let's replace a seasoned ruckman (yes, not the best in the league) with an inexperienced young rookie unfamiliar with game.
Brillant thinking. Hope the Carlton coach and staff apply your thinking to the Blues next season.
But maybe they have no choice? Years of tanking and the loss of Fevola may make playing risky untried inexperienced players de rigueur for your lot next season.

Just on our membership base, on SEN today I think it was mentioned that we are 5000 members up on this time last year, so things are looking pretty good. I can't confirm this as fact but that's what was stated on SEN, attributed to big bad barry as well as coming so close to a gf 2 years in a row.

All social members need to re-sign before the 31st of Dec. Otherwise lose there renewal option. The membership gest put back in the pool. I expect as all social memberships were used last year that once again all members would renew again with our current window still open. This may inflate the numbers a little before Christmas. That and the fact that we have a dam good team.
