Hey guys, just witnessed some pretty weird shit with myself, the old lady and my brother, walking outside to leave the house, notice two orange balls of light, about where a plane should be slightly north of my location (Thornlie, Perth) sitting deadly still in the sky, called them outside, we took photo&video (which I will upload later if anyones interested) and watched one make small circles, before dropping out of the sky completely. The other one hovered around before departing at slow speed to the north.

This took place at 8:57PM (photo time) on the 13th March.

Just wondering who to go to to report such a thing/hand in pictures? Called the observatory, to let them know as it seemed the logical place

Cheers and keep watching the skies ;)

EDIT: Here are the images. Light on the left is the street light

Put in an AUFORN report. Ill upload the images if anyones interested. Younger brother also took a 20 second video. Who are the DSD?
Sorry, it was the 13th, made a typo

Put links to images in the original post :thumbsu:
Are you sure it wasn't a plane? The lights look very uniform, as if they were the wing lights of a plane. It is a question the investigators will ask. Like I said before, did you hear any sounds?

No chance they were hot air balloons?

Couldnt be. Got a good look at them, definately no object visible, just two luminous orange balls of light, fair bit bigger than a plane's lights would be.

Each light moved independetly and one 'dropped' out of the sky as described by my mum, I was busy getting the phone camera out. Saw the second one move around and depart

I had a similar experience between Kalgoorlie and Southern Cross in the late 90's. My brother-in-law and I were driving in the very early morning pre-dawn and these two Orange lights were "pacing" us as we drove. They were low to the horizon and occassionally were obscured by the roadside brush.
Each was keeping pace with our vehicle, going 120+/- but one would raise a little in relation to the other and vice versa occasionally.

This went on for 20 minutes or so and we both took plenty of pics and were pretty amazed by what we thought were some kind of bingee lights or something.
Only when the sun rose enough did it become obvious they were two hot air balloons a fair distance away, 20-30 K's probably, hard to tell accurately, but I reckon a fair way to give the illusion of "pacing" us.

The give away was the sun shining off the tops of each rising and falling in the dawn desert air.
To say we were both relieved and a bit disappointed when we realised would be pretty accurate.

The pics are very similar to those you posted is the reason I asked.:thumbsu:

There are special caves. Every country has them. They are refuge for apocalyptic moments.

Anyone who believes in alien space ships, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, the Abominal 'Yeti' Snowman, mediums speaking with the dead, new age self-empowerment, magic crystals, lefty politics, astrology, ghosts, or people who believe that extra terrestrials built the pyramids and anything of that ilk - doesn't get in the caves.

So don't report any of these UFO sightings. Whatever it was you saw, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for it that doesn't involve little green men who mutilate cattle and rape the butts of rednecks.

If you do report it, they'll put your name on a list. Then, when the planet-threatening moment arrives and you are trying to get in the caves, they won't let you in. Sure, there might be some guy at the caves entrance who says, "What's wrong with Matera_Goal? He seems like a nice guy?" Someone will check the list and say, "Nah, reported seeing a UFO once."

After that, there will be general laughter and you'll get chucked right back outside to be bombarded by meteors and such right along with the other deserving twits.

Keep it to yourself, buddy.

The problem is that when someone says UFO, we immediately jump to Aliens. An Object that is Flying that you cannot Identify is classed as a UFO.

Did you know that in the late 80's near Area 51 in the US (you know the place) that at least 50% of all UFO reports were later attributed to test flights of the then secret Stealth Bomber.

UFO does not neccessarily mean extra-terrestrial.

Looks like they could be Chinese lanterns, which are what a lot of UFOs have been recently. Certainly in the UK they're a craze that's exploded in the past year or so.

Some Chinese lanterns are designed to float in the air, so they work like hot air balloons but are just a flying orangy-red ball.

Over here there have been calls to ban them because they're the same colour as distress flares. The number of false dispatches for rescue boats has sky-rocketed in the past two years.

hi Stinger I quite agree with you There has to be a logial explanation to the UFO sighting. Someone from space would not just hang around clowing in an aircraft

I THOUGHT I saw one last night at about 12:30am in WA in the north east direction. At first I thought from the distance yeah thats a plane with all the flashing lights and stuff. But when I looked up again it was not making any distance only moving side to side which I thought was a bit strange. I guess it very much so could have been a satellite but there were many different colours flashing brightly. More than likely it was probably nothing but I will look in the same direction at the same time tonight to see if it is still there
