Sitting in Bay 34 yesterday, a few of the non-playing players (Jack, Milky, Aaron Black and Ayden Kennedy (I think)) came out and sat down near us for the 2nd half. I watched their reaction to the play and they were clearly rapt when Macmillan, Busta and Cunners got the ball. But the best reaction of all was for Boomers goal from the pocket (we were right behind the line of the ball and it was never going to miss) - Jack sitting there with his crutches next to him, jumped to his feet and pumped his arms in the air. He had clearly forgotten that he has a broken leg, so quickly sat back down, but the natural instinct in him was great to see...

I LOVE that story. So often you see young footballers at the game and they are too cool for school and seem to be there only out of duty. It gves me a warm glow to know these kids are like fans for each other and the senior players, passionate in their support.

I think this is scientific proof that Boomer has the ability to heal the wounded with his very presence.

Looking forward to more miracles this Sunday.

I was sitting behind that bloke who got interviewed at quarter time.
The MC who did the intrerview at quarter time, walked past a North bloke with long hair who declined the offfer. Then interviewed the guy in the blue suit.
The comment about McPhee put huge regret on the MCs face afterwards.
Fair to say that bloke was pretty happy with himself.

He looked a little more explosive in 2009 than this year? I hope his injuries dont have any lasting effects. He needs to finally get in a good preseason so he can come back lean and mean.

Have to agree there.

Seems pretty obvious his ruined pre-season and the after effects of the broken leg hampered him.

I saw it. I had an exacta with Ziebell to win.

Needless to say I got 1st & 3rd

DOH!

... in this Premiership Coach 2010 game that I am playing at the moment. Currently playing the Round 10 game against Brissy and Jack has kicked 5 first quarter goals to bring his season tally (after 9.5 games) to 22.

Maybe he is the answer to all our forward line woes?

well this proves it!

BTW, how's the game? Is it fun or interesting? I'll have a lot of time on my hands soon, so....

Yeah it's good. The match day stuff isn't as fun as other afl games i've played but that's mainly because you are the coach in this one instead of controlling the players directly. At first this turned me off a bit but now I'm really getting in to it and cheering the boys on (especially Jack and Lachie who are dominating at HFF and FF respectively). There is also heaps of other stuff to do outside of game day as well.

As I said before it's pretty cheap and I've had fun with it so far. I think it will definately help me get through what will be a pretty long off season this year.

Btw you can download the demo version which has all the features but doesn't let you save. That way you can suss out for yourself whether you want to buy it.

ha.. have him their in my Premiership Coach and him and Urqhart are by far my best 2 players..

especially urqs who racks up 40 a game

It's all fun and games eating Sammy's fettucine carbonara and talking about how you'd survive in the wild and having to listen to Milky on Skype to the missus until Brad Scott drops in for a SURPRISE VISIT and finds the place is a bloody mess and blows his top at you.

Great work Heath etc - what a magnificnet picture of life as an NMFC player that piece paints.

The coach tells them off because the house is untidy?
