Hernández... that one worked out all right though.

Yep, so far so good. We did spend a little more on him though, and I think he may have shown a bit more than some others....

Some will come off. If you throw enough darts at the dartboard....... :)

Also Evra has apparently agreed (though not yet signed) a four year extension Good news.

Official now.

“Ever since I arrived at United, it’s been a dream come true playing here,” Evra told ManUtd.com. “The fans, the players, the manager and the staff all work hard to make this club the best in the world.

“I’ve won a lot in the last five years, but I want to win more and I know that’s the mentality of everyone here.”

The next three weeks will tell us all we need to know about United’s campaign.

- Marseille, Wigan, Chelsea and Liverpool all away, followed by the FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal or Leyton Orient just a few days before the home leg against Marseille.

Six matches that will surely define the season.

Nerves will be on edge, thats for sure!!!!

Holy shit.

Marseille away will be a tricky fixture but we should get the job done against them over two legs.

We have a very good record against Wigan (IIRC, they have never beaten us) so hopefully that'll continue.

Need to avoid defeats against Chelsea and Liverpool. Both will raise their games against us, especially, the vermin.

Anderson out for 2 months.

Big loss. Our best one two player through the middle of the park and the only one that can play the box to box role with any great effect.

Giggs and Rio aren't making the trip to Marseille.

Anyone know why Giggs isn't playing?

Squad: Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Lindegaard, Vidic, O'Shea, Brown, Rafael, Fabio, Evra, Smalling, Scholes, Gibson, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Bebe, Obertan, Tunnicliffe, Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, King

Possibly saving him for Chelsea and Liverpool. He is 37 remember.

On a slightly different note, Valencia's return should be around the corner..?

Ferguson said end of February but you wouldn't expect him to even on the bench till about mid March. We need him as fit as possible seeing as Park is injured too.

We really need these two for the run home.

Latest reports are that Ando will only miss 2 weeks maybe 3 :thumbsu:

Better news on injury front

If the number of senior absentees from the aeroplane ferrying United to Marseille had fans fearing - or opponents hoping for - an Old Trafford injury crisis, then Sir Alex Ferguson's pre-match press conference may have nipped both in the bud.

On Ryan Giggs, the Reds manager delivered the good news that his veteran Welsh winger should be "okay for Saturday" when United visit Wigan in the Barclays Premier League. Meanwhile, Anderson's knee injury - sustained in the first half against Crawley Town at the weekend - is not as bad as was first thought and although he has flown to Portugal to see a specialist, he will be out for "maybe two weeks, a maximum of three."

A similar timeframe is envisaged for Ji-sung Park, who hasn't played for United since Boxing Day after captaining South Korea during the Asian Cup and subsequently straining his hamstring while training with the Reds. "We've really missed him, but he'll be ready in two to three weeks," said Sir Alex. Earlier returns are predicted for central defenders Jonny Evans and Rio Ferdinand from their respective ankle and calf problems. "They should be available for the Chelsea match next Tuesday," the manager said.

March could also bring a long-awaited comeback for Ecuadorian winger Antonio Valencia. Sir Alex confirmed he's now training in "contact" situations and may be fit for the FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal or Leyton Orient on 12 / 13 March.

Pretty encouraging news all round then. Big Tony :thumbsu:

And spot on about Ferguson as well ABH.

I just think SAF is a complete genius. This squad has no right to be leading the EPL considering the strength of others, but he gels the team together and gets the best out of them as individuals and as a group more times than not.

He is remarkable.
