That's odd, when I called EB Southland earlier enquiring about how to prove a broken release date (after that whole Trey Robinson fiasco) I asked: "Do you have it in stock" to which he said "Yes", then after I discussed it he said the person would need to show the receipt to his nearest EB, who would then give it to the Head Office. The employee then added that he could be selling it "this afternoon" if given the go ahead.

Everyone believe me or not, but this is what happenned.

I bought a copy today (no, i'm not teling you where from) as i needed a receipt to send to our head office to get it removed from sale (for now)

So, i have the game, and will be playing it. The main thing i'm pissed about, is that i have yet to receive my stock, but someone is selling it. Hence why we're trying to get it removed. I also know they have very few copies, so it won't effect me much at all

For starters, stay away from any EB

I was lucky, when the kinect came out I got a 250gb slim kinect bundle with the default kinect game and an extra one for $449 from Harvey Norman.

The guy at the checkout was confused because they lost something like 100 dollars for every sale. They could argue it got more traffic but I sure as hell know I went in, bought my xbox and left without a glance at anything else.

it really doesn't matter, however I cant help but to think that you're role in this has been quite self serving:

• buy the game for yourself
• not tell anyone to protect the sanctity of the release date (and your store profits for your 'release day plans')
• share the details of the store who did you a favour by selling you the game early with the publisher (damaging their profitability, yet at the same time further strengthening your stores reputation in the WA area)

At the end of the day - it's a game where everyone who was going to buy it, will buy it no matter the situation. Nobody loses out from the game being released a couple of days earlier, the same way nobody loses out if the game is released on its official release date.

Glenno, I know alot of effort has been put in at your store surrounding the release of this game, and you should be applauded for it, however lets not confused your enthusiasm and 'goodwill' around the AFL live release for anything other then an interest in footy, australian games and bringing profit and sales into your own store.

I didn't take a copy home, i boughht it off the shelf. I paid my own money for it. But it is very ironic after what i posted last night, don't worry, thats not lost on me!

Its also funny that there has been no other reports of a break anywhere but the centre where i work.

If i had stock to sell, i would tell you where i got it from. But we don't, so why would i give another retailer an advantage?

To those calling me arrogant, get over yourselves. I always have to wait until after everyone else has a game to play it. Ive worked my butt off (as has my team) to get so many orders, i;m just being rewarded for once

For those who care, my mate who works at DSE Watergardens said they only have 1 copy per console. The PS3 one is already pre-ordered, the 360 version is up for grabs.

But the interesting part was that he said according to the computer it said the release date was 20/4.

Very interesting indeed...

Edit: But after reading what is happening in WA, I doubt we will even have to wait til the 20th lol.

OT: Lol yeah, I know. I only wanted the console cause my one was on it's last legs, so I ended up selling the kinect and games. Console by itself was going to cost me $398 at best, but after selling the kinect and shizz the console ended up costing just over $300.

I'm stingey like that lol, once when EB had an extra 50% deal on trade ins I bought a bunch of games off eBay and mates then traded em all in. Instead of Halo Reach Spesh Edish and Blops costing me about $200 it only cost $90.

I have made lots of orders to make money- Yes, hard to believe i am a business

I want to get promoted and big sales from big orders shows growth, so that will help.

I want to win as many awards as possible and by being excited about this and any game, being friendly with my customers and providing awesoem service, thats what i get.

Yes, it all helps me, but lets not forget, retail is a business and is there to make money. So yes it is self serving

why dont we all leave glenno alone. in the end if you've pre ordered the game you will have it by the end of the week. 6 days to be honest. its not like we have another yr to wait. as much as i'd like it to be broken im sure i can survive til thursday without the game if the dates not broken. get over it
