Just been thinking, are the any players that not matter what the rating you will always select in your custom team?

Ive got a couple-

Pendlebury- Class and skill

Hill- Exciting young player

Ballantyne- One of my favourite none Saints.

Cripps- My young fellow down at the Saints.

D.Swallow- Gun

Matthew Pavlich- My favourite non kangas player

Adam Goodes- Great player any position you put him in

Liam Jurrah- Can take a great grab and kick a few goals

Jobe Watson- One of the best midfielders around at the moment and hopefully wont cost to much

Cyril Rioli- A very exciting player and is a gun

Edit: Joel Selwood - $273,000 is a real bargain

So from what I've got at the moment, Fev, Johhno Brown, Travis Boak, also gonna make myself and the 3 mates I'll be playing this team with in the team, and find a few other Vics across the league who would be lured home with a Gold Coast-esque money offer

I gotta have Gwilt in there. Rioli also a must, just so good either in the pocket or handy around the ruck. Pavlich, Siposs, Matt Campbell, maybe Nic Naitanui. I try not to go overboard with Saints but it's difficult! If there's an update on rosters done, I'd probably have to pick Milera and Saad regardless.

I found Buddy to not be as good in the game as he really seems to be in reality, which makes him hard for me to justify picking in a custom team. Played 2-3 games with Hawthorn, and the other players I slotted into the HB line all kicked goals more consistently.

In the times of AFL 07 and the super trades you could do i used to make my Crows team as SA centric as possible. So i'd trade players like Pavlich, Griffen, Didak and Gibbs back into the team.
