Forgive me for being a little sensitive, but after listening to the radio and reading media reports you'd hardly know Geelong had anything to do with Melbourne losing by the second biggest margin ever - 186 points.

What about some credit for Geelong. I haven't heard too many "experts" lauding the Cats for putting on what is inarguably the most comprehensive 4 quarter display seen since the AFL was formed in 1990.

Oh, and we're again reminded by the media how "awesome" Collingwood was in coming from behind and demolishing Essendon - an injury plagued Essendon.

One of the most phenomenal performances of all time. To record the second biggest victory in 116 years of VFL/AFL against a team which itself has won multiple games by 15 goals this year should not be overlooked.

Well the Melbourne side of the story is bigger in the media because there are serious long term ramifications for their performance.

Geelong are a truly excellent side and commentators have been saying that for years. Don't know why it's important to you that they say it a bit more.

Are you sure yo are not a Carlton supporter? You sure sound like one.

Melbourne media mate. We don't do non-Melbourne clubs. Should be happy we're treating you better than the other interstate clubs.

Edit: I heard you'll get plenty of love in the advertiser.

On Sunday on SEN Finey spent a good hour talking about how good the Cats were. Should have listened in.

I picked up a copy of the Addy this morning and enjoyed the bonus lift out titled "186 reasons to smile."

Fact of the matter is that we've lost less than 20 games in 5 seasons. The media is bored with us. I probably would be too if I was an opposition supporter.

Don't feel left out, West Coast get left out most of the times when they win as well, or talk about how the other team were 'gallant in defeat'

Basically this. If Geelong can win the flag this year, then expect the media to S our D. Otherwise go read your scrapbooks from 07 because that's when Geelong smashing teams by 100+ was newsworthy.

Did any other team play over the weekend? The media is 95% Melbourne atm, its nothing against Geelong.

I heard Melbourne are having a scratch match against the witches hats and 22 mins in are trailing by 40 points.

Hehe, look up the Port vs Bye video.

The media is 95% Melbourne atm,

No kidding - That's standard for the Swans.
The media didnt notice us until we did the victory lap in 2005.
The only comment we got was from the fat bloke saying we were "ugly".

NOTE: Funny now how some are saying Melbourne should hire Roos because he'll bring in some mongrel, commitment and strong tackling. "Ugly" is the new "beautiful".
