INFLUENTIAL Western Bulldogs figure Paul Dimattina says the bloodletting at the club should not stop with Rodney Eade.

The former player said he was "gobsmacked" Eade was relieved of his job and is "gravely concerned" with the club's direction.

Dimattina said he was not interested in standing for president, but believed there were influential figures mobilising.

Nothing really, by all accounts he's excellent. But there is always a risk that ex-players can be conflicted at times. It is not necessarily a rule, and there are many successful ex-players in administration, but I am still wary.

So I guess my turn of phrase was flippant, that's what I meant.

Here.....here......he has not even bothered to have a chat with Smorgan to understand the issues directly from the president. So yes...Dimma, get involved talk to Smorgan and stop carping on from the sidelines or just shut up.
