Never thought I would see Pat Rafter angry, could get it back on even terms since Stan can barely see the ball when he tries to serve it.

I'll never equate how Hewitt was no 1 back in the day. I think a combination of being 10kgs lighter, less powerful raquets and his OCD contributed to him pulling that off.

Lol two more game!.. 15 minutes later two more game!

Gotta love the Davis Cup its great value, the coaches going mad, the crowd getting into it. The fact there was no hawkeye makes it all the more entertaining.

He was lucky there wasn't too many decent players around - Sampras, Agassi were near the end.

I think I heard discussion about calling off play before the start of the final set, but it didnt suffice

Lack of common sense by the umpire means they go back tomorrow for (long?!?!?) 70-68 final set, or not long at all 6-3 Stan

It does (did) happen in Wimbledon

One way to get around the light fading, because its september:

Earlier start 10/ 10.30am perhaps?

But we were not to know 1. Switzerland would force a live 5 rubber 2. Hewitt and Stan play out a very long five setter

This is going to make me sick Lleyton losing a 5 setter after being 2 sets to 1 up to keep us out of the World Group for another year. All I have to say to that is F***!

[Tennis Australia]Because PlexiBlue is our national surface and f**k the rest![/Tennis Australia]

Why should we worry about grass when no one else is? Grass is only played for 4 weeks of the year, the only reason we are playing on it because of Bernard's funky tennis and Lleyton basically being a cripple.

Djokovic forced to retire against Del Potro. The injury looked pretty bad, i hope he can recover soon.Novaks game is physically demanding, if he doesnt manage his schedule well he will risk a burnout.

As unlikely and undeserved as it would be Hewitt may just win tomorrow.
I wouldn't completely rule him out.

Pretty harsh, it was a very even match for the most part. hewitt did have 40-15 in that game he lost his serve too.

We won't be seeing Novak till London at least I reckon, he basically collasped to the ground when it happened, it was rather bizzare.

A valid point. Still, IMO having some variety in courts in Australia can only be a good thing. Makes it fairly boring if all our courts are exactly the same. Need more clay & grass courts so our players are getting experience on all surfaces.
