Ok so unless your a Collingwood supporter everyone else have written us off to become Premiers tommorow.

The team that will win tommorow is the team that wants it more.

Yes Geelong have been in form over the last few weeks have coasted through the finals but can they stand a high pressure intense game?

Have they prepared for that ?

They talk of our injuries to Jolly and Reid.

Tell me about the question marks over Johnson, bartel, hawkins (strained groin ) and shall we keep going ?

Ok what i know is that all our running players are NOT injured.
Thomas,sidebottom,pendlebury,heath Shaw, Swan, Weeman,Lukey ball ,Wellers,Leon Davis shall i keep going ?

The incentive for Tarrant and krakouer, leon is enormous to become premiership players.

Malty's last game as coach..........soon to be back to back coach !

The league ladder doesn't lie !

First and second play off for the grand Final.
Hawthorn, carlton and rest ended up where they should have on the ladder.

Geelong will end where they should after tommorow 2nd.

NO ITS THE YEAR OF THE PIE ONCE AGAIN BACK TO BACK !

Pies in the end by at least 6 goals.

PREMIERS 2011 AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!
THIS ONE'S FORE MICK AND THE SUPPORTERS !

I don't think anyone has written us off really. I think most people are willing to admit that our best football is equal to Geelong's, the problem is it's been a long time since we have played to that level. Whilst Geelong are in form at the right time of year.

No one will be surprised if we win it but Geelong will rightfully start favourites

I'd say it's exactly how they want it. Underdog when you're the best team in the comp is pretty much the perfect scenario.

Having said that, like shawthing said, most in the media have admitted that the Pies best is better than the Cats best.

Problem is, we haven't produced our best for some time, and we desperately need it tomorrow to be a chance.

We as fans need to be vocal tomorrow too.

I just felt that as we started to come at Hawthorn, and got a bit vocal, the mood changed.

Hearing the Collingwood chant whilst still a couple of goals down can only have been a good thing for the players.

I'm with you Daics...the worst article was Mike Sheahans in the hsun this morning.

"Up forward, Geelong looks to have more firepower, particularly with Tom Hawkins in the form of the past few weeks.

The Cats have Harry Taylor and Tom Lonergan for Travis Cloke and Chris Dawes, Matthew Scarlett for whomever he decides to take, Corey Enright and Andrew Mackie at the top of their form, and Josh Hunt for the small forward. That's a formidable defensive unit."

Now, lets see we are picking sides before the GF, Mike, you can have Cloke or Hawkins - you choose - you picked Hawkins Mike..ok...I'll have Cloke...damn

Now, Taz or Lonergan - Lonergan, Mike? o.k...guess I am stuck with Taz, the player Buddy says is one of the best defenders in the league.

Oh, wait that's an unfair advantage to me because Mike didn't even remember, Taz, Reid, HarryO, Toovs, Shaw, Maxwell and Davis were playing...he says Geelongs defensive unit is a reason they will win ...LMAO...

What makes me laugh is these articles get through sub editors and editors who read it and say "ok fair enough"

I listened very closely to MM, Bally and NickM the last few days and they are saying a lot of things most of us are saying about the formlines.

I cannot wait for Sundays headlines.

oh btw...Geelong board is starting to say "if we lose...." and the Pies just went from $2.16 into $2.00 on Sportsbet....hhhhmmmmm....the sleeping Giant is awakening!

Go Pies

To use a famous Malcolm Blight quote....Who honestly gives a fat rat's tossbag if we've been written off or not. :D
The added bonus is we are now underdogs which should relieve pressure on our boys greatly. As Malthouse said, last week we were trying to not lose the game. This week we are going out to win the game. Huge mental difference in our approach to the granny.

We know our best is better than the Cats, we know that we are more than capable of destroing the Cats if we bring our competitive best.
The pressure will be intense and we will be heaping it on them more than the preliminary final last year.

Will the Cats be able to withstand such enormous pressure? That is the biggest question to remain unanswered. I think they will be able to stand up to the pressure for about 2-3 quarters but then it will become too much.

I see the Pies eventually running all over the Cats late in the game and winning by 4 goals plus. :):thumbsu:

Pies back to back baby!!!:):D:thumbsu::):D:thumbsu:

Yeah some guy randomly decided to put half a mill on Collingwood at over 2.00.

I'm digging the confidence, but sheesh man, half a mill?

Comon, I know it was you Ed...that's why you been spruiking your negativity and "hope" all week so you could get the big odds.

Btw..I feel a softening in your approach to the game.

You know we're going to win now, don't you.

Totally agree. It's our home ground remember. It needs to be as supportive a place as we can make it for our players. We have a small advantage playing there vs Geelong, and every advantage needs to be turned in our favour in order for us to triumph.

I'm looking to keep the bottle uncorked until 2pm, then start warming up.

I've already got the Anticol on the list of items to purchase before the match.

LOUD AND PROUD!

....maybe

Nobody mentioned Menzel either who kicked 5 against us in Rd 24. He and Stevie J (if out) will be big losses to their forward line.

Larrikan:

Mike Sheahan is just a genuine tossbag. Remember the morning of the Freo game he wrote an article that WENT ON THE FRICKING FRONT PAGE, claiming as a downright fact that Malthouse wouldn't be at the club next year? 1, how could he possibly know it as a fact, 2, the #*%*£€%*# decided to put it out ON THE DAY OF A GAME (like the betting scandal), and 3, whoops I forgot it in my sheer frustration.

Watch his column on Sunday, Monday: "best team all year, never in doubt" and whatever other tripe he can come up with.

I wasnt that confident myself for the first few days of this week and now I am fairly confident. You dont make the GF by default, we earnt it and we will beat the Cats. I honostly cant see us losing this game now, we will have the hunger and apply preasure, the cats wont be able to beat it. Go Pies!

As the week has rolled on my confidence has started growing. Yes I am still nervous and anxious but I thought Cats would roll us quite easily.

Not sure why but now I think we have a great chance of winning and rate us better than 50 50.

For all you people who are lucky enough to be there make it a Pies cauldron cheer like you never have before.

Have been confident all week. Had the same feeling leading into the replay. I just think our finals have prepared us for a fight. Pies to be up by 2 goals @ 3/4 time then run away with it and win by 6 goals. Swanny to be in possession when the siren goes. Ben Johnson for Norm Smith.

I'm getting more confident with each passing day that we can win this thing. On Tuesday, I was nervous as heck, and was thinking we'd be just slightly better than a 50% chance of winning tomorrow. By today however, I now think it's at least 75 to 80% likely that we'll take out the premiership cup.

I just hope Collingwood know Geelong will almost always attack through the corridor, no-one can be left there alone.....Especially not Wojo and Varcoe. Your going to have to be at your 'bees to a honey pot' swarming best.

Also I think you'll have to lower the eyes and hit leading forwards about 60m out.....and then go long, rather than go long from 80m out. Need to get it deeper and over the top of Taylor, Scarlett, Mackie, Lonergan etc and hope Sidey, Didak, Krak, Fasolo, Blair are in the mood for tackling.

I think you'll win by 20pts.

Agree with your points, especially bombing it in long. That is when Geelong's defence is at it's best. Strong tackling teams usually win in the Grand Final as well. Interesting that West Coast when they plays us had 100 tackles in the game, and when they played Geelong they had around 40.

I'm enjoying all this negative media - it reminds me of just how accurate "experts" were in picking the Brownlow winner. They know NAAATHING!

But watch our boys' faces and listen to them speak this week and it's clear that they're full of resolve and quiet confidence. Can't wait to watch them unleash all that pent-up power tomorrow.

ONE MORE SLEEP!
