Definitely :thumbsu: in regard to the horse. I stole it from Whiterun, and im so glad I did. Can't imagine how long it would have taken on foot. I went around the long way  past Helgen.

Dam i ended up paying the 1000 gold. Rookie error i guess.

I'm finding the magic quite good and might go dual magic tonight, see how i go.
was about to mention shock and how awesome it is. loved getting it so early on

At least your horse will stay. The one I was on kept trying to run away everytime i got off :p

But I figure somewhere along the line, someone will give me a horse, so I thought I might as well just steal them until then.

Has anyone found a solution to the no quest markers for the side quests? I have so many, but just dont know where the hell to look for any of them.

There are quest markers for the side quests. You go into the quest menu select the individual quest in miscellaneous and then you also have to turn the miscellaneous quest on like you would when choosing one of the main quests. I'd recommend turning the other quests off to avoid confusion. Hope that helps in some way.

Having said that one sidequest I did didnt have markers for the first part, but as usual just went to a bar and found the person I was looking for straight away.

Have been feeling invincible with the magic until I came across a troll. Even though Im pretty sure they suck against fire, it wasnt really working so pulled out the sword ran over to it and it flogged me. Will get revenge later

Ah I see. Got it going now. Thanks for that.

Horses are so easy to steal. I just grabbed one and walked in front of the guy who's horse it was. He didn't seem to mind. Haha.

Have rolled myself a darkelf caster, Dual weilding destruction spells switch to spells in one hand sword in the other when my Magicka is low.

Would of been nice if you could hotkey favourite sets to 1 through =

Just had my first random dragon attack. Scared the shit out of me. I was just walking along, fighting some wolves, and out of nowhere it comes and starts ****ing shit up. I only got like a quarter of its health down before it killed me.

Picked it up as soon as it broke. Xbox 360.

Played a little bit of Oblivion, but as a previous poster said - bit of an RPG noob and the game overwhelmed me.

Skyrim though. Wowee. Despite being huge, and incredibly vast you still have this sense of direction. Like you knowwhere to go and how to get there. Everything is laid out smoothly, but random enough to generate chance encounters. Its a great balance.

Im running a wood elf. They look ordinary, but you can fix them up to look basically how you want. So my guy is basically a Reguard or a Breton with the traits of a wood-elf which is cool. Rocking magic in one hand and a nord axe in the other. Havent really used the bow yet, waiting to stumble on a good one.

Some of the things ive done in my first 5 or so hours.

- Entered Riverwood and improved a couple of weapons in the forge.
- Stole a horse from Pellagia Farm. It ran away though.
- Completed the Golden Claw.
- Have slayed the Dragon at Whiterun and was made Thane. The Jarl gave me some cool bits and pieces.
- Accepted a quest from a Redguard wanting me to find some girl. Will probably do this next.
- Will then trek the mountain to have a chat with the Greybeards.

Im loving this game. Love the mini quests, as they tend to be the most rewarding. You find rarer items and have a richer experience.

Anybody rocking the strategy guide? Decided I would get it, havent really used it yet though.

Yeah i got the game and guide, had a quick look through it and some things stood out like werewolves and vampires, didn't read any of the quest info as i don't want to spoil to much.
I'll probably use the guide once i have done an area to see if there's anything i missed.

I've rolled a high elf and dual wielding magic for the most part, the shock spells are awesome I feel like the emperor from star wars.

lol, that's what I thought when I used Spark for the first time :p

Loving this game so far. I played a couple of hours last night using the 360 control but it's just not precise enough. Maybe if you had some GTA/Red Dead like autoaim it'd be better but I didn't like it too much. Switched back to keyboard and mouse. Can't play in bed but oh well. Got it on ultra graphics and it runs beautifully and looks superb.

Now to go get that golden claw (one of the first quests).

What system are you running and what res? I've got it on high atm but will try out ultra. Phenom II 955 GTX560 8GB DDR3. Using the 360 controller for now and haven't had any issues but I've only played a tiny bit.

I feel ripped off. Not being able to kill kids is totally ruining my immersion, gunna trade this in for COD.

Just kidding. This game is awesome. I just visited Solitude in time to see a public execution - was torn whether to save the poor fella or not.

I think mine is just a tad stronger but not by much.

i7 running at 3.8 GHz, Radeon 6970 2GB, 6GB RAM.

I turned on fraps for a little and and it was 50/60 everywhere except when turning to the odd part of the screen with lots of stuff going on and it dropped to about 35 but it seems very smooth. I am running on 1080p.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the 360 controller but I'm just not used to it. The menus aren't setup for a mouse but I just used the ADSW keys.

Joined "The companions". Some faction based in Whiterun. I did a quest in some dungeon, and it was at the end of it. Still haven't got the dragon power yet though, so I cant use it.
