A "new" old face that would most likely have been there this week — Marty Clarke — will not be among those lining up because he suffered a minor soft tissue leg injury in training as did small forward Jamie Elliott.

This post makes some really pertinent points how is is that we seem to be the only club that has players with twinges and strains, all the clubs do but they don,t get reported with such joy and alacrity.Well Elliot ran the Tan on Saturday so we canstrike him off our list - he would not have done it if he had a bad hammy. Furthermore, Dawes also did and unless we had training today (did we, i actually don't know?) I don't know where this is coming from...
Elliott wasn't confirmed as was running the very next day around the tan. If anything he'll miss this week only.Any other injuries?? List of rumoured injuries:
Johnson - confirmed 3/4 weeks
Didak - confirmed 4 weeks
Elliott - a few weeks (has this been confirmed by the club?)
Clarke - rumoured. Possibly a few weeks
Dawes - rumoured. Possibly a few weeks
Krak - not injured by confirmed 4 weeks
Read the twitter message above, Dawes is fine. Maxwell was training with him today.Maybe its the training methods, maybe Buckley is working them to hard. We know Buckley was a nut when it came to training and being fit and then towards the end of his career he couldnt play more than 4 games without tearing his hamstring. Now we have 2 players with hamstring injuries and Didak with whatever he did as well as Dawes with his calf. Maybe its just a coincidence, I am sure David Butters has a say as well in what goes regarding training, so it might not be anything to worry about.
It would seem that way and guess which club is in the firing line again, bring on the football ffs it is getting beyond a joke have any other clubs had players who have tweaked or strain injuries this past 1 to 2 weeks and have they been as closely scrutinised as our,s,no I don.t think so it seems like they can make up things as they go along.Guess Gerrad is telling Lies then
Yes! Ffs, can the 'sky is falling in' group please get a grip? None of these injuries is serious, all should be back soon without losing much in the way of fitness and we'll hardly be sending out dud squads for the pre-season games with the likes of Swan, Pendles, Daisy, Ball, Cloke etc. all (presumably) ready to play. As some have noted, this sure beats broken hands, suspensions and a whole heap of other injuries at the business end of the season - and we were still massively competitive!I just think there's no need to panic.
The only player who has had a problem in the last few weeks that will miss a significant period of time is Krakouer.
Dawes, Elliott, Johnson and Didak are all likely to be back by about round 3 of the NAB Cup.
Of course that's assuming Dawes only has a calf strain.
I went straight to the source!!
That would be the Pie with source
Gerard Healy and his "wispers" bombed out this time.
Sorry to be pernickety, but did you mean Healy and his 'whispers' or 'wishers' ?
