New look for Carlton away games

It is a subtle change but the Carlton guernsey for away games will have a slightly different look in 2012.
The front will remain the same on the navy guernsey with the CFC insignia the feature, front and centre. The Mars logo will be on the front of the Nike Carlton away guernsey similar to the last two years. It is the back of the guernsey that will have the subtle change.

In 2012 the Hyundai written across the back of the away guernsey will be white writing in a light blue box. It is subtle and in reality there is no change to the official Carlton guernsey. In previous years the Hyundai on the back of the Carlton away guernsey has been in white, directly on the navy guernsey.

I was hoping they added a touch of Navy to the clash jumper. This is a bit of a non-event. Whatever makes the sponsor logo stand out more I guess.

Yeah but it's only the logo on the front. Mars is on the back for home games. Mars needs no change for the back of the guernsey as they already have a distinct colour in their name.

Dislike it! Hyundai fitted in seamlessly before. AVCO, Optus, Malaysia and VISY all kept that seamless monochrome theme.

Now, like the Bombers' Samsung logo, the contrast will be quite stark.

With that said, the sponsors will be greatly satisfied, and that's what matters the most - Indeed, the Mars logo is quite a contrast as well.

Probably less conspicuous than the Mayne one by a mile!

Ahh thanks. Unlike you, I really don't pay that much attention to what's on their guernseys.

Seems weird to do it on the back for away games but not the front for home matches.

It looks fine, but I preferred the way it was before.

We'll be quite luminous in the navy away jumper with white shorts now given the bright blue and red sponsor logo's.

Use the colour around the 34 on the front and you have a perfect clash guernsey...ie navy blue both on the back and front.

Who was the genius who worked out that Carlton's navy blue clashes with St Kilda's red, white and black? That bloke will never get within 10,000 kilometres of Harvard yet alone the University of Adelaide.

That is because it is the Away Guernsey, not the Clash Guernsey. .. Technical they play in three different Guernseys through out the year but two are just a sponsor swap. ..
