Thank god we made the 2001 GF. No one would have enjoyed seeing Brisbane beat you by 29 goals the next week. It would have made the 2007 GF look like a close contest.

The video doesn't actually show it, but the moments immediately before Essendon got the ball, Crawford put Hay and Rawlings under the pump by switching play to them unexpectedly when they were in a bad position. You're struggling with your grammar here HAD. You can't say "after" something that doesn't happen. So you can't say "Bruce McAvaney was conceived after Hitler won the War".

In the pies prelim he had 11 touches 2 marks and kicked 3 goals. He'd rather do the magnificent than the needed. He would have walked off the ground with the biggest grin thinking, "damn that was a good goal" While the others would have been shitty he was unnoticed for the 1st 3 quarters.

It was a failed final which people only rate because he kicked a good goal.
