Worth noting that the article on the AFL website quoted Clarke's manager that the Giants and Blues had shown the most interest... this may well have been that the Blues (and Giants for that matter) were polite enough to say "no thanks" before hanging up.

Would rookie him, he has been around a winning culture and although he can't do much else he puts his body on the line and will hit a contest hard, something our boys need to learn. Wouldnt play him if it was at the expense of a younger player in his position like McInnes.
