It doesn't make a good argument though, it takes random bits, rips them out of context and hastily
cobbles them together to attempt to fit it into a rhetorical 'point'. It is quite typical of these type of posts.
I'm sure I could find 4 or 5 random statements that you have made on this site and paint you as a nazi sympathiser
or a rodeo clown etc. This is exactly the same thing.

It should be clear by now that I'm both. However, the point that picture makes is very valid. Why is gay marriage such an issue for many christians but many other laws in the bible are not taken seriously. If it has any authority as the literal word of god surely each law should be taken seriously. Personally I wish people would worry as much about homosexuality as Jesus did, which doesn't seem to be much considering he doesn't talk about it in scripture.

Also seeing that Christianity is basically Paul's religion ....

Well the Levitical laws were pretty specific to the jews, but hey that's fine. There were a lot of man made regulations that made it into the laws too - kind of like the catholics of today I suppose. I find it interesting that because something was NOT mentioned that it should be a given that it is acceptable? I don't recall Jesus specifically
making mention of paedophilia either. Stop splitting hairs to try to make a cheap point. I'm sure God HATES divorce, and it is something that occurs so frequently, that it makes me wonder how many people go in to a marriage understanding that they have to live for the other person and not themselves. Of course there are exceptions, and I really think that if someone was being abused horribly then there is a perfectly reasonable reason to leave a marriage. Divorce because you just decide you don't like it or whatever cheapens it. Also culturally back in the time of jesus, a divorced woman was pretty much given a death sentence. Jesus cared as much about the welfare of the person morally AND ethically. But what do I know...

Pauls' religion hey? that's a good one.

You are right. God hated divorce so much he refused to marry the mother of his son Jesus. No marriage, no divorce necessary. Then again, only an honest man could have made an honest woman of Mary. A position to which Joseph was also unable to pretend, given his prescribed role as an irrelevant, cuckolded supernumerary.

this whole stupid, incoherent virgin birth story is but one of the reasons christianity cannot be taken seriously, by anyone, as an explanation for anything at all.

taking the bible as a source, we KNOW humans can be created out of dust: adam, the first and original human, was created out of dust (genesis 2:7). god has no need to have a human son birthed by another human. it serves no purpose other than to put an underage woman through the PAIN OF CHILDBIRTH. and don't forget, the PAIN OF CHILDBIRTH IS A PUNISHMENT for eating forbidden fruit (genesis 3:16). so god seeks to unjustly punish a virgin woman one more time than she needs to be punished, FOR NOTHING.

god creates humans, creates them when he wants, and from out of dust, or a male rib if he wants. he doesn't need mary as a human incubator and milk-truck. perfectly 'human' people could be made without a long, unnecessary, uncertain and dangerous incubation period.

a period in which, for no good reason, jesus will go through various embryonic stages. one time, perfect baby jesus, just like you and me, will have a tail. but not from a common amphibian ancestor because we don't have one you see? and another time he will develop gill slits, later to be used for other features. but the gills are not from a common ancestor because were are not of fish originally. no, we are our own 'kind'.

Hardly a fantasy on which to build a theology of concern for the welfare of others and sweetness and light, is it? Its seminal underpinnings are shot, in every sense. The rest is a pack of cards, all of them jokers.

shouldn't I?

You tell me?

Do you think the idea of all living creatures being placed on a boat is seeded in reality?

Why not? Maybe there are more animals now that there were?
Anyway, you asked me. Tell me why I shouldn't believe it.

Oh really.

How many species were on there originally, to your knowledge?

What is the relevance of the question?

At least one?

If you believe that an Ark was built to 'save' the animals of earth from the great flood, shouldn't you have some sort of figure as to how many animals were being housed? Wouldn't it give an idea to the size of this supposed life vessel?

Well, apparently if we go on the cubit length - especially if Moses recorded this and used the Egyptian cubit, we are looking
at a boat between 450 and 550 feet long, 75-85 feet wide and 50 odd feet high. Decent size. Floorspace and storage area would have been
more than sufficient I would think.

To carry over 1,000,000 species of invertebrates, over 9,000 species of birds, 9,000 species of reptiles, and over 5,000 species of mammals.

But of course, some may have come about after the ark, you say?

Do you seriously believe this story of the Ark is based on fact? Honest answer.

There are plenty of ancient cultures that have their own similar stories about a great deluge and a group of survivors.

SOMETHING happened.

Plenty of ancient cultures carry the same stories, but with different names.

Still, you've not answered my question, do you think that all of those species of animals were housed on Noah's Ark?

I don't know - how many of those species are antedeluvian?

Mine is not only an expert opinion, but the only opinion, on how I reach my "intelligent conclusions". You seem to have little cognizance of certain aspects of cognition.

God told Noah that he, his sons, his wife, his sons’ wives, and two of each kind of beast male and female would survive in the Ark (Genesis 6:1-22). Seven days before the Flood, God told Noah to enter the Ark with his household, and to take seven pairs of every clean animal and every bird, and one pair of every other animal, to keep their kind alive (Genesis 7:15).

Let's round it to 2 million animals on the ark, gathered by a family of eight in a week. And enough food for them all for a few months. Yeah, that's totally realistic :) And can you imagine the smell!
