Roast Biased umpires - time for Carlton to make a statement

I'm just going to point out that last week... last Friday night... SEVEN damn days ago, there were zero (0), ZERO 'holding the ball' free kicks paid.

Zilch, none, nada.* (That or like 1...)

First decision of the night... a shocker against us.

Something is NOT adding up.
That HTB against Simpson was a ****** shocker - set the tone for the night.

The umps aren't biased, they're just shit each and every week in wildly inconsistent ways.

Maybe but would of been very soft, if Simpson hadn't of hesitated when he first got the ball he would have got it over the goal line.

Was definitely a goal from the replay they showed according to the rules.

Soft or not too high! Just more crap that goes against us that doesn't seem to happen against cats, nth, west coast, hawks Our players really need a lesson on throwing head back when feel slightest touch in a contest. Not just play hard at the ball and win it off your own guts and determination.

Amazing that the Hawks passed it barely 15 metres twice and they would pay a mark. Yet they called play on after a pass to Scotland or another player looked 15. They've totally changed the interpretations before slipping back into old habits and what the rules used to be.

Yes, we should have converted, but the free to Lake after Mitchell's throw was a game killer. As bad as the umpires letting play go after Armfield was pushed in the back against Collingwood.

Need to learn how to stay out of opponents backs and head high contact also....

Couldn't give a flying f--k about their skill errors TBH, but do understand what your saying BM123.

Simpson's poor effort to rush a behind to gift Gunston a goal and Judd miss on the run and they rush it to the other end for a goal are just 2 examples of goals conceded without umpire interference probably a couple more if you look hard.

Simmo had an absolute cracker of a game and you pick out his one mistake?? C'Mon, Our team did really well tonight and we were ROBBED. More than just incompetence. Most weeks I'd agree with you about our skill errors costing us the game, BUT, Hawthorn should never have been that close, due the bullshit decisions and momentum shifts, we were always under pressure at the end, no wonder the boys were frustrated and losing concentration.

It was pathetic. Again, it cost us momentum and cost us a match. Yes, we lose composure when teams come back at us, but some terrible decisions keep the opposition close enough. I just know that these things aren't taken seriously on this site and we will be held up to ridicule over it.
So we shouldn't call out what occurred tonight because of what others will say about us?

I honestly believe AFL is one the most corrupt sports in the world and has been for a while,

It's not just the umpiring and obvious match fixing either.

The wolves are circling Vlad , flower off and take your exotic bets with you. fat prick

The umpiring was disgraceful tonight and anybody who watched the game cannot argue. Something needs to be done because its borderline unwatchable. I'm glad I'm not a foreigner trying to learn the rules because it would be impossible given the huge discrepancies with interpretations.

Murph was clearly taken high by Hodge and no free kick? DISGRACE!!!

The number of times we tackled them and they were dispossessed yet they called play on was a joke, yet times where the wasn't even prior opportunity and we were holding the ball? DISGRACE!!!

How often does Hawthorn throw the ball and it's play on? DISGRACE!!!

DISGRACE!!! DISGRACE!!! DISGRACE!!!

A mistake that he should of gotten a free for before the goal in the first place.

Are you stalking me after these games sherb? Is the thread still open? I just expressed an opinion that I don't believe a thread is going to win us much credibility. It's okay though, as long as those that want it, also defend our supporter base on the main board when they have a shot at us over it. Not too much to ask.

I have said it was a disgrace tonight but the thread is about it happening week after week. If tonight is the issue, then the autopsy thread is the perfect place for it.

BlueTongue quote me in context FFS.

Simmo was in the top 2 or 3 players on the ground IMO, dont just pick out one piece of a discussion and think I am potting him.

I was just trying to suggest that I am more concerned with other areas then the umpires tonight although some of their decisions were mind boggling.

Any chance we can practice during the bye how to fly our heads backwards the second we get contact above the shoulder? As if we were being shot by a sniper in the third tier. Well thats what it seems like we have to do to get a free. Same situation with the Garlett goal, you basically have to act like a Jack Darling for the umpires to award free kicks now. Ridiculous

No, I was reading through the thread because I was equally disgusted by what went on.

And I happened across your post. I replied because I was genuinely surprised by what you said. And I still am.

I wasn't aware that what other supporters may think of us should have a say in what we should post here.

Yes and I'm say that we did indeed make some skill errors, and Hawthorn made about the same, but the umpiring was so lopsided that I'd have thought we'd be gone by 3qtr time. Anyway, I've said enough. I'm proud of the team tonight, in the first half I was thinking that's the best I've seen them play in 20 years, but then it all gets f#cked over by those maggots. I'm hating footy at the moment.

No down field free for that ugly bastard Roughead's late hit on Simpson.

Of course not! We were wearing the navy blue, not brown and gold.

Booooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
