Help, my computer crashed (now using an old back-up). I am sure it is the hard drive - is there any way I can retrieve some of the data on it? Desperately need information from emails that I received. I back-up every two months and was due to do this week.
Think it is the hard drive as I swapped into another computer and nothing came up.

If you take it to a computer technician they might be able to retrieve it.

I saw in the paper this morning that Tame Impala won an award last night for one of their songs.

A few weeks ago I would not have had any idea who they were.

Yeah, for Feels Like We Only Go Backwards - they definitely deserved that award! The songwriting side of that song is just flawless. All the changes, chord progressions and melodies work just perfectly together. I love sharing music with others, so I'm glad that I could share the joy I get from their music with somebody else.

I can't remember if I posted this or not a few weeks back, but check out Melody's Echo Chamber (music from Kevin Parker from Tame Impala and his French girlfriend Melody Prochet). Very dreamy music:

God I hate these weeks of winter, few that there are, when no AFL or VFL Collingwood teams are to be announced on Thursday, because we are not playing ! Tonight, I won't care less about Channel 7's late team announcements, nor am I eager to read the ins and outs suggestions of fellow posters, simply because there aren't any. Oh what a dull weekend this will be. All those household chores that I have postponed or overlooked can no longer be so easily ignored.

I loathe winter, and only football gives meaning to life and warms my days. Why does there have to be a bye round? Beyond Blue should advertise their service in our forum during this week. A bank of counselors should be manning telephones awaiting our calls. Well my call at least.

I am sure I will be told to get a life, as happens when I whinge about no footy games on Good Friday and express my longing for a crucifixion cup match. Perhaps I could garden, read a book, do some voluntary work or go for a walk. There is no substitute for a scheduled Collingwood game, be it AFL or at worst VFL.

Didn't want to start a thread so i thought I would pose a query here


I have a 3 game membership which i haven't used of yet. I Plan on coming down to watch the Adelaide game on the 12th July. I'm also organizing for 4 other mates to watch the game.

The club sent me a email a few weeks ago offering a complimentary ticket If I went to the Sydney game a few weeks ago but I couldn't get down, anyway so I thought I would contact them again to see if they where offering any deals as I guessed they might because it will be a lower drawing game, but they just told me i I had to get tickets through ticketek.I guessed wrong, no issues

My question is this. looking on tickettek reserved seating is $36 bucks. Since it will be a lower drawing game is it a cheaper option for me to just scan my card and my mates just pay general admission on the night?We dont care where we sit.what does general admission cost these days?

The last 4 entries in this thread should not be here. They are about football and this thread is clearly defined as a 'non-footy chat thread'. I should have started a new thread for my comments about the bye and lack of Collingwood games this weekend, as too should Jerry Springer with his query about the Adelaide game. There is a thread devoted to random footy talk but unfortunately none of us except TD are able to initiate a topic.

How about a thread entitled 'random footy related talk'? Otherwise, I and others will have to start a new thread for each and every footy related topic.
