The tightarses of this world never cease to amaze me. I know I'd much rather pay the 10 extra bucks (literally less than half an hours work), than wait two weeks for the game to arrive and save myself 10 dollars.

In all seriousness, if it was much cheaper in the shops, I would. But I dont have time to get to shops mid week, and the weekend is for, you know, drinking and stuff.

I swear one of the voices in multiplayer sounds exactly like buzz lightyear. Anyone else notice this?

Played about 2 hours of this today. Anyone else get poor frame rates from time to time? Reckon it's going below 30 at some points :S

Also the game starts very slowly. Hoping things get a bit more interesting and varied, can't say I've found it particularly gripping to this point.

My first play through I didn't but watching my friend play some cut scenes had the arse end fall out

At first I was a touch underwhelmed at the ending but going through it again and reading articles and other people's accounts I suppose it was satisfactory. I don't know why but I was waiting for Ellie to stab herself or something in that last exchange after she was recounting the people along the way that she had lost.

Had to repeat the last bit with the guys who had machine guys several times as they kept killing me. Got a very strong Uncharted vibe when they became involved.

A couple of small issues I had was the sound of reloading your gun didn't attract enemies, the flashlight not actually pointing towards the way you were standing in pre-prepared sequences (boosts and the such) and the hiding of bodies which I've mentioned before.

Think I ended up dying about 70 times and it took me a touch over 14 hours to complete.

All in all it was a brilliant game.

The boring first hour or so of gameplay was the weakest part of the game. I mean, they needed to build up this Robert character a bit more and make the start more open. I just did not care for the initial characters. Once you get out of the city, it gets awesome vey quickly.

Good to hear. Framerate is bearable but I wish I could get a consistent 60 frames at least.. I go to marvel at the beauty of the environment only for my immersion to be broken by slowdown

Already made my first big decision:

Not to kill the guy when you first get a gun. I need to save all the ammo possible!

Will go for the collectibles and everything else on the Survivor+ I think too, since I need to conserve ammo and whatever else and I know that you have to shoot some of the pendants down.

Did the same thing and used the same reasoning.

Did that bit I was stuck on yesterday too. It dawned on me to actually check if I had enough stuff to make another molotov, I did so I used two to torch the 6 of them.

I've been strangling almost everyone, ammo is far too sparse to be shooting people.

Yep, in the first level (where you actually get a gun) there's one stuck up in a tree. I can only imagine there's more like that as Uncharted was similar.
