I'm very comfortable with the 3 goal lead at 1/2 time. They need to feel hunted in the final term. If we can reduce it to 10pts by 3/4 time i will be thrilled.

Our rucks...and team as a whole a lacking a real physical presence.
Bailey gets pushed around by players half his size and weight

I reckon we roll the dice and put Rioli on for the second half. We just don't seem to have any spark in the forward line, let alone a functioning forward line.

He's a big boy Bailey but he has little peg legs and not the tree trunks you want to see in the ruckmen. Years of those knee injuries probably didn't do him too much good in the lower body development.

It seems, well to me at least, that we're really missing the spread and experience off half back.

Our forwards are letting Geelong's defence play to the structure they want too.

Of all the games for Roughead and Franklin to re-discover their 09-10 form.We just don't know how to beat this mob. Why is our forward line so congested and theirs so open'??

Can we blame John Barker again or is he Carlton's problem now? :D

Im pretty sure the reason Rough never fires much of a shot against the cats is because most games he gets Taylor.. This is the only game of the year where Buddy doesn't get the other teams #1 defender, he should be torching Lonergan.

Anyway, if we can stay with them and still have Cyril to come on late, we are in with a show.. Not pretty but at least we're still in it..

Forget about training anymore we just need a physiologist....ever player is playing scared....makes me physically ill to watch

The funny thing about these games is that it never really matters about who leads, it always ends up getting back to square late on, hold on to your hats people, this is heading for another epic,

Too many of our players are going missing or playing like scared rabbits!

Funny thing is the cats are not that good!

Yeh i wish alot of them would take a leaf out of mitchell's and puopolo's book and try there guts out.

Worst half of football for the year. Admittedly Geelong put us under amazing pressure the entire half.

We were fumbling like crazy (wtf is with Lake!?!?!?) rushed everytime we get the ball, playing the game almost completely at Geelong's preferred tempo and meanwhile the Cats are simply cutting us up on the rebound through the corridor at every opportunity. Kudos to them they're willing to take risks and its paying off.

I think we can safely say Geelong's gamestyle counters our own pretty brutally but aside from Mitchell where are the rest of our onballers? Forwards except Roughead are getting towled up by Geelong's defense as per usual and our defense has been that unsure of itself that we're getting zero drive out of defense - Suckling & Birchall's absence really telling tonight.

Bottom line - Geelong are spreading better, working harder, better under pressure and more willing to take chances. We're getting outplayed.
