Personally I think the information has been known all along by Baker and MacKenzie (and Wilson). They have milked this story to perfection (from a newspaper point of view), giving Essendon and Hird just enough rope to slowly hang themselves.

I think this is why Wilson has been so forthright, because she knew which cards were going to be dealt all along.

Essendon are really stuffed.

100%. It's good journalism, really.

I notice Essendon are releasing statements which sound bold but are merely skirting around the issue.

E.g Essendon deny that James Hird or Danny Corcoran made the 'black ops' comment.

The story as I understood it was that Dank said it to the weapon and Hird and Corcoran were in the room.

Their statement is true but they're playing with words as that was never the suggestion.

The issue is that they were present.

AFL wants to bring forward the start to the season next year to match NRL start by four weeks.....

9 x 22 = 198 + 1 bye = 23 rounds

8 x 25 = 200( and the TV deal is matched) + 2 byes = 27 rounds ...... need an extra 4 weeks. Hmmmmmm

Who wants to bet me Ess wont be playing next season?

...are you saying a total club ban will be enforced that will carry into next year?

I bet you they will.

So now we know the letter was from calzada not asada...although it does rhyme so maybe they all got confused.

Given it talks about gyms in L.A. Maybe they thought it was Californiaz anti drug authority ;-)

I wonder if this will put to rest bomber fans belief despite nil evidence that Asada advised them it wasn't banned.
