As you can see no Priddis. This won't happen but for our club's midfield to get better he needs to go.

25 out of 40. Obviously we can't turn over 15 players in one year but the above are the only ones that are good enough or haven't been tried yet

Your thoughts?

To continue what Marlin said Smotie, you'd take untried players in Colledge, McInnes, McGovern, over Priddis (I have similar thoughts but he needs to be knocked down the pecking order, not dismissed altogether), Hill and Smith? I think not.

Bennell should stay, as should Newman. Smith I would like to see moved to the wing/midfield, for the next season, see what he can do and then decide at the end of next year. Dalziell, as well as he has played doesn't offer a lot more, IMO, but he's good as serviceable depth.
Don't even read the Hagdorn article, if Josh Hill is delisted I'll be very surprised. Plays a very good role, usually, up forward and can be injected on to the wing, although we have shown no propensity to do that, but he could be, IMO.
Brennan needs to be looked at long and hard, not sure there.
We've had 5 'retirements' so not sure how many more there will be. But apart from the retirees who else would you want to see out this year? I'm not sure I can answer that right now.

Out of interest, how much longer do we continue to give shep a free pass?

Not sure he's being given a free pass, but he's not as bad as some here would suggest. Players develop at different rates, some not ready for it at 18 are ready at 22, or older.

Yes I would. The only reason is that Priddis will go no further in his development. He won't after 7 years of AFL football get any quicker or better with his disposal. He is at the pinnacle right now which is about 60% of where an elite midfielder should be. He is apparently our number 1 mid right. How is our midfield going to get better with him still there? It won't if he sets the standard.

The other untried can't be removed yet, they are too young and it is a shame Worsfold didn't give them a go this year when they could have looked at them for a game or 2 in this year of untold injuries and shit form.

I agree with you about Hill, I was basing it on Hagdorns article that it was a foregone conclusion along with Newman and Sinclair. He is usually right.

Yeah I understand that, but the OP has Cripps missing out, while putting shep in. I'd like to see the justification for that as I see them as pretty much level pegging.

I see Cripps as an average footballer that goes missing in big games.

Sheppard undeniably has talent that can be developed hopefully. He has played well in some games against top sides. As I said My opinion on

I sort of agree with Cripps, but I think he can develop into a serviceable player. Showed some good traits at times, needs more time to develop those. Remember Masten was played out of position, for 3+ years, to develop a more rounded game, I see these 2 going through similar processes.
Smotie, I get what you're saying with Priddis, but if Shuey, Masten, S Selwood, Wellingham don't knock him down to at least peg 5, then I don't know what will. Oddly, I see Cripps and Sheppard as 2 types that can enhance Pridids' game, ie they need to get on his outside and receive the handball and Usain. Allow him to play his natural game of extracting the ball, which he is very good at. Delivery and sprinting from packs is not in his repertoire, so if we continue to use him then we need to play to strengths.

No Swannies or Smotie, there is no chance we will ever get Mr. Bolt!

Hopefully you can be right as I can't see the Eagles removing Priddis. My post was hopeful more than anything regarding him.

McGinnity and Sheppard need to be traded, as a package deal. We might get a third round pick for them, maybe.

We need to trade for another good midfielder, the Wellingham trade was good as he's already proven his worth but there's too many spuds in our midfield currently.

What would Scooter be worth? I'd consider trading him as well.

I will probably get lynched but Gaff. Average footballer who can not win a hardball and has no right side.

I think some people see his value down that order but cant see how that will happen without him being removed from the team. With the way the club views him it going to take him being gone before they move on.
