I have concerns about Trav as well, hope he proves me wrong.

A lot have been getting into T Hunt, but Trav also needs to do more.

We all know what he is capable of so we can only hope he really clicks now its Finals time.

Good on you say what you think ......don't worry about the heads!

There was a bloke in front of me giving him heaps and he heard it!.....I don't agree with that sort of crap, but objective comments on here, fair enough!

Loved his goal though in the third quarter came when we needed it, 'thanks to Taylor forcing the ball into the pocket to keep it alive'.
Then Taylor gave the next off to Bundy...Harry's presence forward makes a massive difference.

Would I trade Travis for Taylor Adams?....in a heartbeat!....if he goes around next year he'll be going 27 before we could and his market value would drop through the floor.

meto will dispute this piece.

Am actually surprised to be honest, had a feeling he has always kicked crucial goals here and there and helped setup goals but the stats suggest he does lift when the pressure is applied.

He doesn't run often enough, he won't put his head over the ball and relies on recieving.....that's him as a footballer.
15 possessions at 50% that was him on Saturday and you gooses claim he had a good one, he'll let the team down in 'the heat' every time, less he's out on his own like Saturdays goal.
Very lucky he even got the chance to slap it on the boot.
The first was a spill over the back off Hawkins, no oncoming pressure.

You'd trade TV for my grandmother and she's dead.

Zero cred on this subject meto, ......zero.

And there's a classic example!

Adams is a better player now ....... He plods away far to long!

Will not go a hard ball at all!......He'll get toweled by the dockers unless we're way ahead.....then he'll downhill ski off the others.
That's his game.

Well if he doesn't, I will, simply on 2 grounds:
- Defining "big game" by attendance figures or lord luv us, a "Derby" or a "Showdown", and
- claiming that their own manufactured "pressure acts" are "more advanced measurements" than "kicks, handballs, tackles and goals".
Simply completely meaningless, nothing more than emotionally gratifying noise.

Jordan Lisle played a better game then Ashley McGrath according to CD, using them to support an opinion is really clutching at straws, think your last line sums them up 100%.

Gee that's well said,......Ditto that!

Well, you sit back in your comfy chair and enjoy your kicks, marks and handballs and ignore the rest. Somewhere in between lies the reality; nevertheless, Varcoe has an influential game, and stats are NOT the only measure.

I think it's more there are clearly other stats the coaches use as well which we don't know about. That could be part of it too.

Make no mistake, I am worried about him and Motlop avoiding contests in finals. They'll get found out and very quickly - IF they do that.

Who said anything about ignoring "the rest"?
Off the ball play is important, including CD's "pressure acts" - which are corralling, chasing, closing, touching the player without making a tackle.
It's simply not as important, however, as getting the ball and doing something with it, or even tackling.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

TV is very important for our team coming into finals. His leg speed (tackling and pressure acts) will be crucial when other teams are running up and down on the spot in red time. IMO Pods is the key to our finals campaign...and TV and Mots are not far behind him.
