Not a lot but he was talked about a bit last year. He's not as athletic as most international draftees (he's still athletic) but on the flip side he's got skills and ability to read the play, as evident in his Gaelic footballing abilities. Would translate better to Aussie Rules than a tall American college basketballer.

I can see Lobbe becoming the best ruckman in the league, or close to it, no way I'm coughing him up.

Most valuable Ruck in the comp and was worried GWS would grab him when he was out of contract.....too busy thinking they going to get Buddy and not paying attention to what's actually going on out there ....I have no respect for Cameron he should have made sure they had a go at him.

I am under no illusions that the trade may (Key word is May) hurt us next years but it would win us a premiership in future years to come.

That's right, I forgot there 10-12 quality rucks in each draft ready to play in their first year, and that's totally not something that happens only once every 3-4 years

Daniel Flynn, an 18-year-old, ran a 2.95-second 20m sprint and excelled in the agility test from afl.com.au earlier this year. Sounds like a potential option. Still wouldn't mind one of the american lads mentioned earlier as a project ruckman.

I wouldn't be happy to get rid of him, but as we have Redden and Renouf in reserve it wouldn't be so bad to trade Lobbe out if we got good value for him.

So we spend 5 years developing Lobbe into a gun ruckman (based on the last half this season) and we have to rely upon an injury prone ruckman Redden (who shows potential) and Renouf who can't get a regular AFL game.

tayte pears as a forward i would be keen to know if that could work. if we got him cheap enough i guess worth a shot. would have to have a gauge at afl level of how he has gone up forward.

there is some not bad moves there. not huge stuff either but all stuff that if comes cheap has a chance to improve our team
