Bout right I reckon
This is all well and good, but what about the hat??![]()
I think that the hat has re-signed for 3 years as well...This is all well and good, but what about the hat??![]()
That hat has been advised by it's manager that it needs to stay out of the spotlight and let Andrew take all the credit. We've only seen it in the one article, so it has decided to leave for greater opportunities elsewhere.
Not sure Gibbs or Murphy really deserve much in the way of pay increases...both would be on good money as it is...particularly Murph from memory, neither have taken their game to new levels in last couple of years. For sure. We must have some room to play with, because if Thomas is on let's say max 650k and Gibbs and Murph probably want pay deserved pay rises - I guess the club is expecting Scotto to retire, Waite retire or take significant pay cut (isn't he on close to 500k?), Judd retire or take another cut. We did offer Eddie something to stay on top if getting Daisy, just not enough to match Adelaide so we might have that lying around too.
What a brilliant comment. Exactly what I felt to the point I took my ailing dad down to training just to see him in 04. Great stuff, BR.One of my favorites.
For me, he'll always represent that first spark of hope after the 2002 disaster. Love watching him play.
Absolutely stoked he has committed to the club.

Not to mention he became the club captain...Since Murph's last deal he has won a B&F and Aflca award. I'd say he probably deserves a pay rise.
Gibbs maybe not so much - but if he can play consistently well this year and play like he did in the EF every week (or at least most weeks), I'd be happy if he got a pay rise. And we'd probably have to pay him enough to make FA offers not appealing.
If Gibbs played like he did in the EF every week... then he would win the brownlow by a record amount.Since Murph's last deal he has won a B&F and Aflca award. I'd say he probably deserves a pay rise.

Thats because it was a Carlton player who was the better... but the media was still sucking on Bitchmond's sav in terms of outlook for 2013Well, his efforts in round 1 vs Rich last year were nearly just as good yet he didn't get a single vote. Yet, Cotchin - who had the same disposals as Gibbs yet DE% was at least 10% below Gibbs - got the 3.
I may be wrong but I thought Murphy got very good money in 2011 to stave off GSW approaches. He signed mid-way through 2011, so his career year form would have been taken into account. Anyway I would have thought something circa 650K would be on the money.Since Murph's last deal he has won a B&F and Aflca award. I'd say he probably deserves a pay rise.
