"Stats don't mean everything". I'm sorry, when he's get 10 touches in 5 minutes, they mean a hell of a lot.

Did he actually say this?

If so then he has just debased countless post match press confrences where he's pointed to stats as proof of our improvement.

I no longer care to hear him speak.

He pointed to the World Cup and said they never record how many touches a player has so why should we. :drunk:

How can someone who has been so reliant on telling anyone who'd isten how we'd improved because of X,Y,Z stat then say that stat's are not important.

Lyon: Boomer/Rockliffe question.
Scott: Blown out of proportion. Good win by Brisbane. Boomer frustrated. Asked Rockliffe what happened, he explained, Scott took it.
Lyon: Should have learned lesson from James McDonald incident a couple of years ago.
Scott: Agrees, but will still back players.
Newman: Did it disrespect J Browns presentation.
Scott: Said it was over, he has great respect for Brown.
Newman: Scott boys are highly strung, what would happen if the incident developed into a fracas?
Scott: Always the potential, won't be doing it again.
Newman: "Reads out some crap from Herald Sun about it lacking leadership"
Scott: People entitled to own opinion.
Lyon: On field, 10 out of 11 goals....wtf?
Scott: Brisbane played well, we couldn't stem the flow, we are disappointed.
Lyon: It has happened before, why?
Scott: It begins and ends with me, inconsistency has been frustrating, we play up-tempo, need to play that for longer.
Newman: Did JB give you a dressing down?
Scott: No
Brayshaw: Frustrating that we can't capitilise, we are inaccurate in front of goal.
Scott: Agrees, last year we were most accurate, this year we are last. It makes a big difference.
Newman: Lame joke about heck academy.
Lyon: Pearce Hanley....wtf?
Scott: He had an opponent, worked well in 1st, Hanley had an influence but the problem was our stoppages, didn't want a second tagger, locked down on him in second half, we are disappointed. Spoke about influence instead of possessions.
Lyon: Majak question
Scott: We will support him, legal advice was to keep him available for selection.
Lyon: Question to JB about AFL and Majak
Brayshaw: Repeats Scotts answer.

Teams......
In terms of a grilling I hope you like your steaks rare.

I havnt been as disenchanted with Scott and the club since Buddy 13.
I wonder if he is feeling the heat at all.
I wonder if he feels like he is worthy of coaching this football team. I mean 5 years on and having achieved **** all- put it this way if Gold Coast and Adelaide win this week we are out of the 8. Fairdinkum what a downright farce.
JYD was man enough to know when he had to get results to survive.
This blokes got 2 months or he ****s off.

Yes the point, dear Bradley, is not that he got 10 touches in 5 minutes, but that he carried the ball the length of the Queensland coastline on each occasion. So even if you want to cite "influence" instead of mere possessions, Hanley was more influential than a defence contractor on US foreign policy.

I'm concerned at how united this board has been in its displeasure of Brad Scott this week. Normally there are apologists aplenty (and LT Smash and Only Forward are often among them) but this week there has been barely a peep out of them. Pretty damning.

He does have time though, for some reason...

Some have said for 2 years that he's a snake oil salesman. Its just a shame the club and supporters have had to put up with our symptoms for so long. Time to run him out of town and front up the cash to bring a real doctor from the big smoke to our desperate little hamlet.

I was at round 1 and I was disappointed. Disapointed at the sheer lack of anything after such a build up.

I went away for a while so I missed the Sydney win the Port win and the Collingwood loss. Since being back in the country I have watched us win in the west twice and put up abysmal performances.

7 goals to 1 vs Gold Coast. They own us now until will have the stones to beat them
7 goals to 1 in the second quarter vs richmond. We had no answers when they had a run on we turned it on and they fell in a heap.
An apathetic performance against Adelaide. This team made fools of us twice last year.
7 goals to 1 in the second quarter against Brisbane. A 89 point turn around, agains a side that scored a single point in a half of football the week prior.

We are under performing. This team has ability but no conviction.

If we played the entire season the way we played the third quarter against Richmond we'd sit on top of the ladder. FFS we have beaten 3 of the top 4. We are copping losses we shouldn't.

After the game Brad came out and said "I need to be ruthless" Last year he said "we may need to take a spartan approach" We've seen niether.

The last time we turned a corner we sacked an administrator that loves the club, that would have burned the joint to the ground in preference to relocating. Is it going to take something similar for change to happen?

My patience has worn so thin when we win our performance can grind on me. When we beat brisbane the first time we should have won by 25 goals they were that pathetic. But we played fumbly football, unclean hack it forward bullshit. When we beat Melbourne our plan was be with them at half time? We smashed the shit out of this side last year. Why the f*** do we want to be with them? Play them off the park. We are stronger, more talented, better structured and have played more footy as a team than their current outfit.

I tell the under 12s I coach that they need to demand the Footy, they need to put their body behind it and their head over it. Most weeks I struggle to fault their endevour, even though they lose and often. I wish I could say that about North.

As my good mate the Big DF said some months back re Scotts "he sounds like he knows his stuff, but if you actually listen to what he says, he talks nonsense." :stern look

Fat Garry was right though..at least he had the balls to turn up.

It was only a few years back that this Board was in bitchfest about how poor JYD's Media Street visibility was...

He's an articulte media perform.

His words are hollow without actions.

Ruthless

Spartan approach

I don't want to hear it, I want to see it.

THe team has the ability. show unrelenting desire.
