The big clubs (Collingwood, Hawthorn, Essendon and Carlton) are the most hated and the small clubs (GWS Giants, Gold Coast, Western Bulldogs and Richmond) are the most pitied

Nobody can really hate Melbourne or Bulldogs. Their lack of success for 50 years + means even the most one eyed supporter of another club feels enough pity in their hearts and hopes that those clubs win a premiership in the near future
