Despite the umpiring, the boys haven't been good enough. Defense is okay generally, but too much space at times.

But class moving forward is the key. Glimpses from Croz, Fyfe and Hill, but just not enough. Need a barnstorming performance from Mundy and Barlow to help this out in Q3.

Its almost like the delayed consequences of beating them at Simmons last year. The massive skew towards Geelong is ridiculous. Also how in the hell can McPharlin get pinged for holding (in the most miniscule amount) and Sandilands is getting mauled by Taylor and not even a peep. Hell even the commentators were applauding the spoil despite all the holding prior.

The thing stopping us is our fwd 50 entries and lack of a marking target down there. Clarke, Sandi and Pav have had multiple chances but can't take a grab and never get free kicks and it is hurting.

Fyfe and Barlow have been supreme though and like how Crozier and Mayne are going about it as well.

True mate, you guys are getting smashed by the maggots, but aren't the cats an old side, I mean, they are a really old footy team, same old players they have had for years, and the same oldies get em out of it, week after week. We are getting absolutely r*ped. It really does make you think there's some deliberate cheating going on.

Hopefully the umps do look at the stats at half time and will endeavour to even things up a bit in the 2nd half. Hell, forget even-uppers, I'll settle for them not blowing the whistle for Geelong in every single contest.

The only thing we can control is how we play, I have full confidence in Ross that he will identify our delivery as an issue, and implement a plan to fix it.

On another note, sub Ballas for Duffy, not worth the risk.

The umpiring is of a very bad standard. There have been truly bad decisions both ways. They don't seem to be able to concentrate on the game and instead have been sucked in and/or feel they need to make make up free-kicks.

I was fuming. Im usually nervous or calm watching us. I don't stew on decisions since RTB.

Hopefully this means the umps will square the ledger after half time. They usually try and make amends for the silly reason that everyone seems to think games need frees paid equally.

Or there is too much bombing into the 50 from too far out and not enough carrying of the all. It was interesting that when Hill got his skates on a couple of times and actually moved into the 50-60 metre area that we looked 100% more dangerous, particularly those forwards you mentioned.
