My last electricity bill came with a surprise, apparently they must of been reading some incorrect info and went back over the couple of years and fixed up the price. Over $1k in credit now + I get the Carbon monies back soon.....

I made the mistake of buying a heater, then did some research and the reverse cycle was faaaaar cheaper to leave on.

I got stung by the heater trap a fair while back. $70 heater = $800 power bill. Before that I didn't care for kilowatt hours but almost overnight I became an energy efficiency expert.

Same thing happened to me over 2 bill cycles. I thought it was strange that a usual $400 bill was circa $700. I was much happier when the next bill was $70 though. Amazing how one mis-read digit on the meter can make such a massive difference to the price.
