Why would fagan go and meet with walker and slone first then call danger late at night?

By the way walker and slone won't be going anywhere in a hurry

As was said above Both Walker and Sloane are in SA at the moment, but Danger is in Victoria as part of the Toyota tour. The club would have arranged those calls and would know if Danger was busy etc. Fagan said that a phone call was arranged for him to talk to Danger that night. Not that HE was calling him, but that it had been arranged for him to do so.

Also Sloane has an A in it btw.

If we do get him, I cant see us keeping all of Danger, Sloane, Talia and Tex. With all signs pointing to Danger. Fascinating times ahead.
There's no way they will trade Danger for any other player, memberships alone would suffer too much. Danger and Tex are untradable purely from a PR perspective, let alone their talent and match winning ability. I could see Sloane and pick 10 for JC being worth consideration...prob not good enough for GWS though.

Sloane is much more loved by the blue rinse set, from what I can gather.

I'd give him a Buddy deal no worries, longer the better!

Understand he is in Victoria. I didn't think a CEO would need to have phone calls arranged. Cheers for the spelling lesson "apologies"

No one starts a job on their first unofficial day and magically knows everyone's numbers! Meetings etc are arranged with key staff members and all that for Executives starting in their first days and weeks, sometimes you even arrange meetings or phone calls before they officially start (this is something I've done a few times in a past job).

Love how people say midfielders like Dangerfield are a dime a dozen...Name me another inside midfielder with Danger's athleticism and ability to turn a game on its head like he has shown in the past.
Big mistake for our club trading him this offseason...and especially for a player like Toumpas who has shown absolutely nothing at AFL level. Is it just a South Australian name that people feel the need to constantly bring him up?

You obviously don't have an understand of what Senior Execs are like. They have almost all their calls "arranged". This would be even more so when you're dealing with a player who is away on official AFL business.

Better yet, ask your "sources".

Making a point of discussion!
Point is, what is the outcome of that phone call if any?
Who knows

Heard pick 2 and frawley compo and toumpas! For danger and pick 9. Change toumpas to trengove and id take it and run. Then use pick 2 and frawley compo which could be anywhere between 3 or 19 to gws for Carmeron. Gws would be mad not to accept that considering word is he will leave atbthe end of his contract! Gws need to look at the crows and tippet when adelaide could have traded tippet to bris for pick 8 then they lost him for nothing and all that could have been avoided if they took brisbanes offer!!

The Crows would be foolish to lose pick 9 and Danger for JC. Given that Toumpas has not done anything yet.

Agree, if we gave GWS pick 2 and probably 3 I would want there first rounder, I would go hard for there pick 4 or five plus JC for our pick 2 & 3 and maybe lynch

100 Jeremy Camerons isn't worth to the club what actively trading Sloane or Danger would do to our culture. (Also if there were 100 Jeremy Cameron's every team would have two and there would be plenty running around in the reserves to pick up on the cheap.)

I dont think the Crows would even entertain a trade of Danger if unless he has suggested he wants to go home at the end of next year.

We cant be ******ed at this again, plus also trading him to the Demons is less likely to bite us in the arse than say trading him to the other big Victorian teams.

I am not saying we should do it, but rather if he is telling those at the AFC he is considering going home, then yes better to be in a position of power when trading then to be left with nothing.

I still feel we should have shafted Gunston.

Chris Judd at his peak.

Danger is untradable - we need to lock him away; give him five at a million, whatever.

Many people have alluded to this point but I just don't see money being a factor in his decision at all, he wants success. That's why this offseason trade period is so important.

Take note of the NBA and how the operate!
E.g - the cavs went from a team full of young talent and the top draft pick = they extanged some of that talent and cave away the draft pick to gain the best player through free agency and a all star through trade. Then got in some experienced players for peanuts

They went from shit to a likely title contender very quickly!!

Point is anything is possible and don't discount the shit teams from being active this off season

I agree we keep Danger at all costs (which still might not be enough I might add), but Judd at his peak... please, Danger has only played a handful of games, if not quarters in his entire career thus far that could go toe-to-toe with Judd in full flight. I know full well he has that talent in him, but we need to be realistic about his actual output.

In a similar fashion I think people are marking Cameron far too harsly, the kid will be this generation's Carey. That's the main thing he shares with Danger, that they are both still largely rated on potential, rather than being 100% bankable superstars a la Buddy or GAblett. Make no mistake though, they both have the ability to, and in all likelihood will reach that category IMO.

Cavs were a very mediocre team who lucked into the #1 pick 3 out of the last 4 years, twice when they have less than a 2% chance of doing so. That's the only reason they are where they are and why LeBron went back and why they could trade for Love. If you think the Cavs are a well operated team, then you're crazy. They're the very definition of shitting bricks and getting gold in return.

Dangerous attitude IMO, and what got us into the tippett mess. Down that road is the 'sign at all costs' thinking that has us pay too much and hurt ourselves elsewhere.

Tippett left and we survived, we'd survive losing Danger.
