Group A:

1. Djokovic
3. Wawrinka
6. Berdych
8. Cilic

Group B:

2. Federer
4. Nishikori
5. Murray
7. Raonic

I don't see how Djokovic loses here. Clean sweep without a set lost could be on the cards. Interesting to see how Fed and Wawrinka play with the Davis Cup final shortly after this tournament.

Group matches played at 1 am and 7 am AEDT beginning Monday.

Djokovic will surely breeze through his group. The other group is interesting and with Raonic beating Federer (while being schooled by Djokovic) it could come up with anything

Murray vs. Nishikori first up on Monday Morning at 1am with Federer/Raonic on at 7am.

Wawrinka vs. Berdych first up on Tuesday at 1am and Djokovic vs. Cilic at 7am.

Interesting line up this year. Not sure how raonic, cilic or wawrinka will do. Looks like djokivic will make semis easy. Maybe Murray and nishikori in the other group.

Was stunned to see Nishikori spank Murray - went to bed with Nishikori struggling to drop in a serve, and down a break.

Murray has gone back to his defensive, angry self ever since Lendl left. Why did he go.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a 'spanking', Nishikori has just learned how to get the win regardless of his touch on a given day (like all the very best players). It's certainly a really competitive group.

Wawrinka was in rare form. Maybe the heat Nishikori is applying on #4 has woken him up a little, particularly with not many tournaments between now and the next slam. He has a lot of points to defend in January as well (he also won Chennai in 2014 from memory).

Djokovic looks like he wants it, so has to be the favourite for now. Although, a couple others are certainly capable of taking the thing out with the right draw and form on the day.

Wawrinka was certainly in great form, hitting winners left and right, but Berdych was awful. Nothing was working, not even the serve and forehand.

I didn't see Djokovic and Cilic, but the score says it all really.

Today's matches should be more competitive at least. Nishikori has a 2-2 h2h with Fed and Raonic has done quite well against Murray in the past.

I'm hoping we see a competitive match because we've had straight set matches so far.

Time is running out. What a disaster this tournament has been.

6-1, 7-6 (88 minutes)
6-4, 6-4 (95 minutes)
6-1, 6-1 (56 minutes)
6-1, 6-1 (58 minutes)
6-3, 6-2 (69 minutes)
6-3, 7-5 (91 minutes)
6-3, 6-1 (75 minutes)
6-3, 6-0 (65 minutes)

It has. Tickets are bloody expensive as well and each match is an individual session, so people are buying tickets for 60-90 minutes of one sided tennis. Hopefully the semis are more competitive.

Not a pretty picture ay. Hopefully Fed/Murray & Nishikori/Raonic can produce better contests in the enxt round

Well that backfired. :drunk:

Didn't get to watch but surely Murray was just pathetically bad.

Replica of the Djokovic v Berdych match. Even the after-match comments were similar from Murray.

Strange comment from Roger though.

There is no way he could genuinely have that feeling when he's that close to a double bagel. Gifting people games isn't in his genes, that's how he's become such a huge champ.

Long season taking it's toll. Wonder what the appearance money v. prize money is. Few of those guys busted their nuts to make the 8 and then gave up without a yelp. Will be interesting if the Indian league ends up similar, will die off pretty quick if so.

Novak beats Nishikori 6-1 3-6 6-0. Fed/Wawrinka starting now. From what I have seen Roger has been in great form. Im going with him in 2 for the semi.

Fed wins 8-6 in the 3rd set TB. He saved 4 match points; 3rd match this year he has won from match points down. Hope both can recover physically (and mentally in Stan's case) for the Davis Cup in less than a week.

Djokovic in 2 comfortable sets in the final tomorrow.

Djokovic seems to be back to his best at the moment. Other than that second set against Kei, he has been absolutely trouncing his opponents. Djokovic vs. Federer is a real heavy weight WTF Final, what is that now, 10 titles between them?

Forgot about that Indian league - looking forward to it, but after the disaster of this tournament I don't expect the players to give a crap. Will be good to see Agassi, Rafter etc. Will it be televised on fox?

The thing I don't get is that although the matches have been so bad, the arena has been jam packed every single match.

Andy Murray stepped in for the injured Roger Federer to play an exhibition match against Novak Djokovic

Speaking after the match, Murray told the crowd: 'I was playing Mario Kart on the sofa when I got the call. I was winning at that. My Mario Kart is better than my tennis.

lol

Fitting end to what really has been an absolute disaster of a tournament

Been catching up last few day on the matches, had the final ready to watch tonight, a bit disappointing to say the least.... The Wawrinka/federer match was the only highlight. Murray's effort against federer was deadset laughable but not surprising.

So is there any truth to the Federer/Wawrinka locker room scrap?

So is there any truth to the Federer/Wawrinka locker room scrap?

Absolutely.

Many players have for years been critical of Mrs Federer privately. Expect to see more players come out in support of Stan over time. Federer isn't the great sport people portray him as (I love him but).
