Now listening to Unleashed - Odalheim.
Yeah Goremageddon was touted as a big drop off from their previous 2 albums but I didn't mind it. Everything since however.. Yeesh..Did Aborted go a bit funny after that album?
Think I might put on Deranged's Plainfield Cemetery soon. Love that album.
Couldn't get a ticket for tonight's Accept show so will go Monday.
Sitting on the couch drinking beer and listening to Tankard.
I'm hoping to order the new albums by Decaying and Crazy Lixx (yeah, come at me bitches) this week and order one from Runemagick (start on their discography) and Hooded Menace.

Got a record player handed down to me via Grandad.
First purchase......
Memoria Vetusta III

discogs.com is the go to place and ebay as well i assume for the best deals?
Had 2 mates who went, reports back were a) one of the tightest & best live guitar sounds ever; b) one of the oldest and baldest crowds ever and c) No "Midnight Mover" in the encore...?
Thread needs some more hair metal love Lone Wolf. Possibly the best song-for-song album of the genre I have bought in the last 10 years is Address the Nation by H.E.A.T. Its a little light in places and sometimes gets a bit close to AOR - but I cannot recomend anything to you that is better than this from a songwriting perspective. 10/10. (Note: their singer won the Swedish version of Australian Idol some years back so he has a voice).
Their new one "Tearing Down the Walls" is not bad either.

How is it?? I have read some really positive reviews...??
I have kind lost track a little of BAN. Loved Memoria Vetusta: 1 (simply awesome artwork) and then the Mort & Odinist kinda lost my intrest a bit so the 777 trilogy I never got.
Not as good as the other Memoria Vetusta albums (number 2 is my fav), but still decent. I can imagine a lot of people won't like the 777 trilogy, it's really different for BAN, but i love them for what they are, for me i really dig the industrial/ambient sound on Cosmosophy. And i agree about the artwork, too!Might have gone a bit hard a bit early on the new At the Gates one. Its growing on me. The production is slick but perhaps not quite as bad as I made out...some good variety on this disc. Something for everyone perhaps. Certainly more mature than anything they had done before...
I keep hearing about this, and that it's very good. Apparently pretty hard to get a copy of though, all the downloadable versions are shit I hear, unfortunately.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2374902/
Anyone seen that? Pretty good, the story is a bit cliche though.

Has anybody ordered from New Elite Standard before from the United States? I ordered a Disentomb CD from them since it's their label, but 25 days after I've ordered it, still no CD to be found. Thinking it's lost in the mail, which would make it 2 orders from the United States ending up lost this year. I should have gone directly via the band.![]()
