This is the basic difference between young cricket fans of today and young fans from years ago. When I was a lad, I couldn't get enough information from people such as Bradman, Miller, Hassett, etc, to teach me about the game. Today's youth just think they know everything and don't listen.
Ian Chappell not only captained Australia, he also played baseball for Australia. But more than that, it was his fight with cricket officialdom which dragged cricket screaming and kicking from the dark ages to give players the wonderful deals they enjoy today. Without Chappell's vision for the future, the game wouldn't be what it is today. And what do you get from posters on this forum? "He's an old fart, he's boring, his stories are irrelevant", etc. Ever stop to think that maybe it's YOUR opinions that are irrelevant?
He has to keep it tight and use his full measure of bouncers too, need them to be uncomfortableCan't put it on the pads Johnson.
Agreed on Chapelli, but will never warm to Slater. This is the basic difference between young cricket fans of today and young fans from years ago. That's a massive generalisation.Today's youth just think they know everything and don't listen.
Typical moderator.That's a massive generalisation.
And all generalisations are stupid.
Was going to post the same thing. That's a massive generalisation.
And all generalisations are stupid.
a guy who averaged under 40 in test cricket before this series and hadn't scored above 40 in the series before, he shouldn't be too good. Obviously kohli is better than his test record suggests but still. We're going to struggle to unseat Kohli, he's too good.
India might actually chase this down, how embarrassing!
Similar situation to Smith.a guy who averaged under 40 in test cricket before this series and hadn't scored above 40 in the series before, he shouldn't be too good. Obviously kohli is better than his test record suggests but still.
