India were 4/409 to be all out for 465
Australia were 5/216 to be all out for 535

That's the difference between the 2 teams.

Pissant (as I like to call him) Sharma has to be the most over rated bowler ever to play the game.
He's not too bad at home, but he averages about 60 per wicket outside India, which makes him a liability.

I don't particularly like him, but wow - if he keeps batting like that, he can say what he likes. Pretty fair player!!!
I'm not sure he realises it's a team game. You may not like them but surly you have to respect the top team in test cricket who are currently 2 0 up in a test series against you.

Can we finally retire Watson from Test cricket after another poor performance with the bat? What a terrible top order batsman, Klinger must be wondering how many runs does he need to score to be given a chance.
Totally agree, don't know how many chances Watson needs. But if they do give him another chance in Sydney, then I reckon he must get a ton, if not, then surely that's it for him. Most of the time he's as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

If Burns makes a decent score in this innings, and does well in Sydney, it's then a case of Mitchell Marsh or Shane Watson, and I know which one I'd prefer. Pommy fans will be desperately hoping Watson goes to England: they'd be assured of a cheap wicket on most occasions.

Watson is as useful as a used tampon. Keep him for the shorter formats of the game, but he isn't a test batsmen (no3) anyway.

I agree that Watson is about as useful as Richmond in an elimination final - it's Sydney or never :-)

Shaun Marsh nearly out to what I call an Ian Chappell LBW. The ball pitched outside leg but was probably hitting the wicket and Marsh played no shot. Ian Chappell has made it known he has no sympathy for someone who is dismissed LBW when they pad up, even if they are not actually out.

The lack of ads in this last session is so great, of course advertising is essential for the broadcast, but the score in between overs and the sound of the crowd is refreshing.

This will be a sensational finish. I can't see Australia declaring overnight, because with 96 overs to be bowled tomorrow, and Kohli in such imperious form, I reckon we'll need to bat for at least 30 minutes in the morning. 360-370 off about 85 overs seems about right.

Burns's angled bat is quickly found out at the highest level. You can get away with that if you're Doug Walters. If you're not, straighten up!

I'd even go as low as 75 overs.

Why declare? Bat and let the tail bat as long as possible, allow Shaun Marsh to hopefully make a ton and Harris another 50. We don't NEED to win this game, they do! Try and hold off for at least 43 overs tomorrow!

Two words: Darren Lehmann. The Aussie coach knows no other way except going for the win, so he'll be in Smith's ear encouraging him to set a target (assuming we don't get bowled out).

Sub continent people are so funny on FB.

Calling Australia home track bullies. Quickly reminded one of them about the Sth Africa series at the start of the year!!

You could also remind them that Indian cricketers are usually like faithful husbands: they only perform at home.....
