ASADA have to (should) provide all reverent evidence to the players lawyers..



Their statement of grounds can be set up as they see fit, but they should hand over all relivent evidence they have to do with the investigation, whether it supports their case or not. Because essentially ASADA have more power (well, most govt departments) to gain evidence than a private citizen

What i find rather amusing is how people say "Essendon will be fine they can fill their squad with their VFL players" How can that be possible? it means that those VFL players will have to play 2 games a week and also what if the reserves side plays on the same day as the seniors.

It really annoys me how they make it sound so simple to fill a squad with 20 players who are established players mind you.

Although, getting back to the whole discussion of people who claim inside sources, I'd question how he, as far as we know just a decent law student who likes a court case or two, would know the real identity.

A lot are claiming to have 'the source' - why not him, I guess.

Being twitter famous, he does have a lot of connections of people who 'could know things'. But to be honest, I don't envy his position. Like us, he would have a pile of information to sift through to sort the clean from the dirty. Being fed by Ings, Red Sash and others - there's going to be lots of dirty.

Makes perfect sense for the players, not to be play any official games until a final decision is made by the Anti-Doping Tribunal - Gets tricky if the decision is delayed until say the end of April - Players are found not guilty and then they have missed games for no reason - i've already written off 2015.

Again, if their testimonies are ruled inadmissible whats to stop them re-interviewing players and doing the same thing again? The players lawyers were present so they can testify that the players testimonies have been somehow distorted, if that is what happened

Been through this many times - People have too much to lose if they reveal Sarah's identity - Could lose their jobs, money,friends etc.

There is a chance in the future that a 'Maverick' may release the information, through an underground paper/website and the main media will follow up - I guess this is 50/50 to happen in the future.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I think the media is now quite gun shy that the case is getting towards the pointy end.

Over the journey, we've had stories of the ilk of "Hird's getting sacked" and the likes being shoved onto radio, TV and the broadsheets, where basically journos trying to cover themselves in glory in getting the scoop. I feel now, that with all the litigation flying around, that the media bunker has been told to not pull the trigger unless it's been absolutely proven. My gut feel now is that all senior writers, presenters and cadets are quivering with anticipation of scripting the next chapter - but are spending their time 'getting their ducks in a row' before clicking on the send button to get things active.

Only the most senior and bravest journos are the ones that are still publishing articles on the subject - but in some forcefield/kryptonite type fashion, it seems that if you add somewhere inside the article that it's "my opinion" that all the legal ramifications ****** into the air and no responsibility is ever recorded.

If the players knew exactly what was being injected into them and can recall thymosin beta-4 by name, didn't bother independently asking Doc Reid about it or looking it up on the ASADA site, then lied about it in their interviews, then they probably deserved to get banned for pure stupidity to be honest.

I give people like Jobe Watson, Dustin Fletcher and David Hille more credit than that though.

If the players knew they got tb4 and have been advised to lie in attempt to get off they deserve everything thats happened the past two years. Along with the club for advising them to lie. Id want 2 year bans in this case and those at the club who lied to us and advised the players to try and lie I want them put on display and publicly humiliated.

I dont believe that is what has happened but nothing would surprise me anymore. Ahh well not long until this is over.
