Yeah... will be an issue imo. Noticed when he was first drafted that he had smaller hips/ankles than most people his height. I suffer from the same thing unfortunately and it is near impossible to gain any mass below the belt. ;)
 
He doesn't have a big arse like Hawkins or Walker. More lanky like Kennedy or Riewoldt.

Oh well, one day.
Just to bore you all further with my NBN troubles, still not on.
When first ordering, I had to try 3 times, as the first 2 times they said "No worries, we'll ring you back" but never did.
We agreed to new contract, and away we went. So today I rang tech support to check it was activated at their end because I couldn't get it going last night. I was at work, so couldn't do any live troubleshooting. They send an sms saying try install again when I get home, and reply to sms with 'FAULT' if still no joy and they'll call. Did that and waited. Hour & half later, I send the text again. after 3hours I ring, and tech support woman was very helpful, checked some things at their end then realises I have NBN and DSL plugged in (I plugged dsl back in because NBN not going). Can't have NBN & DSL on same number/account, and told we have to ring back tomorrow to cancel DSL. WTF??:mad:
We got a contract to switch. Would this not imply we authorise switching off DSL when NBN is on? FFS. Because I patiently waited for tech to call back, by the time we've sorted that out, that department is closed for the night. Missed them by 15min.

Oh, and that sms was received and a call back scheduled for tomorrow. The sms was sent by them in the first place because I wasn't home to troubleshoot. Not much good calling me back during business hours then, is it?
What a ****ing circus. Optus, for the record, ****ing idiots.
 
Couldn't pay me enough to go with optus, Skoob. Haven't looked at prices but if not too late I'd suggest someone like iinet, if possible.

Funnily enough I've never had an issue with optus. My cable had a problem a few weeks ago. Was someone there 2days later and fixed the issue a day after that that was in main junction down the street. That's cable though so not sure if ADSL is the same

NBN, 25/5
Home phone, including all national calls and calls to mobiles (of any carrier now)
X amount of overseas calls (if we knew anyone over seas)
Discounts on mobile accounts.
$115/month.

Been with them for about 10 years now, let me upgrade to "New customer deals" whenever they invent a new/better plan.
It's really just their customer service and 'systems' I have issues with. Poorly trained, uninformative and slack. As long as I don't need to change anything, ie speak to them, I am pretty happy. My DSL issues (speed) in the past, I think would have existed with any company and was exchange/equipment related.

I just really hate dealing with them, but rarely need to.:thumbsu:

Edit: Also, we're a bit old fashioned, in that we shy away from little guys/new players. Had some bad experiences with the likes of AAPT &Powerup & Dodo, in the early days of internet. Just find some comfort in staying with one of the big 2, but refuse to go back to Telstra.
 
That's not the amount it costs the government to roll it out.
the contractors are getting about $60 per install, so NBN could be charging double that to the Gov't and it would still be cheap for a national network infrastructure.
$3000 is what it would cost an individual to get it done outside of the rollout.
$60 is for a straightforward conduit and cable the big money is when they encounter an obstacle (tree root, concrete, asbestos telecom pit) then they make really good money-and there are lots of obstacles.

The point is, technology changes at some point, and infrastructure has to be rolled out. It is a big cost, but a necessary one IMO.

*shrug* can lead a horse to water. This sounds harsher than I intend it, but don't expect me to continue reading your rants/requests for IT assistance when it is your choice to go with them when it appears you know their service is shit.

FWIW, IINET has been around for more than 20 years now and has about the same internet subscriber numbers as optus, if not more. Plus, yanno, they have decent customer service.

For service providers that have it, I recommend the live chat feature rather than getting on the phone. Anecdotally it seems as though Telstra and Optus use local reps rather than OS call centre staff for them and shit gets done rather quickly and painlessly.

I have used that a couple of times, and yes, works quicker. (Quicker in terms of getting through anyway). I'm slowly coming around to that, although I think they are restricted in what they can do in terms of tech support (Optus), but it did get a quicker callback than waiting on the phone.:thumbsu:

Try telechoice, is on telstra network and cheap, havent had an issue with them.

Edit: Sorry u r talking broadband I thought it was mobile service.
 
I had Optus cable (100Mbit recently) for nearly 10 years and the last 12 months or so it's become slow - and it's definitely congestion, as it only happened in peak times. I couldn't get on to the Nintendo servers to play Mario Kart 8 online ... it just kicked me off after like 5 seconds of racing every time I used it. Got Telstra cable (30Mbit) and everything is way better.

If you get in the way of my cartoon gaming, expect loss of income.
