Yeah, but they're never just called eagles, they're called wedge tailed eagles. Why aren't you called the West Coast Wedge Tailed Eagles if you're not just trying to copy American franchises?

You know what wedge tailed eagles are also known as? Eaglehawks.
Hurr durr why aren't u calld wedge tail egails den :(
Oh my god man, you can't really be this stupid. Your attempts at banter are as pathetic as your club.

The fact this is sarcasm just reinforces my point, douche.
The fact that you're using abuse, just shows that you don't banter very well and are taking this overly seriously.
Thanks for the "sorry" and also for the "apology. You certainly did go overboard though. Just one of them would have been acceptable.
Anyhow, enough about you, lets just move on.
By the way,
Hopefully Johnson can restrain himself from entering the back streets of Perth in managing his cocaine habit.
AND hopefully Crowley can stay away from the chemist shops in Fremantle.
I hope so too valleyboy.

Whatever happened to these guys?

Thanks for showing me the way, brainiac.

When you finally get up to speed with the rest of the thread and have your next witty repartee prepared, get back to me.

No. I think it's great. It's good to see 90s Dockers live on.
Has Clive had any sons yet?

You guys are crying out for Waterhouse 2: Purple Boogaloo

Johnson wasn't too "sprightly but effective" when his back gave way last year and couldn't run. Mundy turns 30 in July, and I'd wager that he's not very likely (given he's an inside mid plus the constant travel) to play out another four full seasons, like you suggest.

As for whether your argument makes sense - I don't think there's as big a gulf between our young midfielders (23 and younger) than you're making out, and I think it's very clear that our young KPPs are better than yours .

As you can see at Brisbane, you can't always rely on a midfield stacked with young talent when your KPPs are rubbish. And once Mundy goes (one of your most important players IMO) your midfield will lose its rock. And once Sandilands retires (honestly, how much longer do you think he will remain "sprightly but effective"?), your midfield will lose one of its biggest PODs.

There's two other things we haven't discussed, which will go some way in determining the future of the sides. The first being will you be able to retain your young non-WA mids (e.g. Weller, Crozier, Sheridan, Grey) if your senior midfielders keep them pushed out for too long - especially if, as you say, they still have 3 to 4 years left in them.

The second: there's no way anyone can deny that Ross Lyon turns average squads into strong ones, but how long is he going to stick around for if you don't win a flag soon? What happens to your players when he leaves?

re: Johnson and Mundy - Johnson did look dodgy with the back... he is travelling well so far this year though. I would think 3 seasons could be a stretch.
Mundy wouldn't surprise me too much if he was around in three years perhaps four. He is being rotated out of the middle to the backbone to preserve him this year and has a good injury history but at his age that could change. Still it isn't crazy to suggest he will be around.

I agree atm your young kip's are showing more... but do think there is a vast gap between our young midfielders. Fyfe / Hill / Neale > Shuey / Gaff etc

As for retaining players, i would be surprised if any left. Weller is from the gold coast, we could trade for martin if they wanted him... Crozier and sheridan are a good question but then you guys have lamb and shuey, will they want to stay in a currently mediocre team is as much of a question as wanting to stay in a strong team with arguably the leagues best young player (or best player in fyfe).. its not like we dont have money and they are about to upgrade facilities, which you guys will too.

I also disagree with the talent at brisbane in the midfield - rich has been injured - rockliff now injured but we were always happy for him to get 40 possessions - beams - b+ grader sometimes A grader - i dont think their midfield is as good as promoted, could be wrong but i dont see it.

yeah we have issues with kpp coming through... but i still think due to the midfield and players coming through we will be strong and not have anything like a st kilda drop. I also think that wce would experience that drop before us.

Geez!

I didn't realize Johnson, duffield mundy and mzungu were 30 or almost 30 as well.

That's 7 out of the best 22 at the end of their careers

Do you guys ever learn? The only place this can end is at Mainwaring's house. Do you really want to go there?

Get some new material.

Low act sunshine.
To make fun of the Mainwaring family who lost a Father and Husband goes beyond the bounds of any type of decency. . You are a cretin of the lowest level. Maintaining the Fremantle standards.

Tune in and watch the WAFL's $400k player earn $2k a touch. Yeah na no thanks
Poor Colin. There's no way that signing with Freo is a sign that your life is right on track. There's no way that you could fake this even. ''Yeah things are great. l met a terrific girl, l got a great job, making a lot of money and if everything goes according to plan, l'm gonna be moving to Freo soon."
