The Australians will not take the light, no matter how dangerous

As for someone asking if Ricky would ask Billy if the light will be offered, any time it gets as dark as it did on Day 2 then the umpires must offer light, so its not a case of if Billy will ask, he has to if its as dark or darker than it was on Day 2, and it is by far

I asked on that- looking at the idea of the light improving. Realise they have the standard set- but could Ricky ask him how much it has improved by the meter? No need to declare if he will offer them the light...we can get runs in these conditions

3 for 322

this is doing my head in so many variables If australia batted this well all series we would not have to worry bout this

england are always in the better position, for australia to win it needs everything to go our way.

What happens if it doesnt improve? You bat the entire day?

Also, what happens if say Clarkey misses a ball and get seriously injured? Will it be worth it? Although I reckon if a serious injury occurs, can the umpires force them off the ground?

Right now its a joke, probably the darkest all match

Well, that was my point about the umpires having the power to tell the Aussies "Sorry- we're taking you off the field."

Freddie with another- Hayden out for 138
4 for 323

i agree that our weapon is the fat man, but you never open with a spinner

ever

Australia may have to open with Warne and Katich or else England will not bat at all today

I do believe if spinners are on then the umpires wont offer the light at all

Haydon out and watch the run rate drop now, be lucky to be 50 in front at stumps!

Know what you are saying, but that always seemed odd- it is not dangerous, but with it dark, you can't really pick the spin....really batsman choice on that- the umpire should ask

doesnt take long for the poms to panic

Panic? What panic? This is great, Haydos is out after not seeing a ball, no player misses a ball like that after 303 balls at the crease in good conditions

It is quite funny though that they ran from the field in much better conditions than this the last 2 days

then dont complain that they are playing, aussies are playing to win.

Hoggard on now
Ed, somebody finally got the word to Punter that he needs to win....therefore you need runs and must actually stay at the crease....

Simple process, but Ricky is Taswegian (ducks for cover from any Tassies on the board)
